This is the Book of Allah: there is no doubt about it. It is guidance to Godfearing people,

Translit: Thaalika alkitaabu laa rayba feehi hudan lilmuttaaqeena

Translation:

Ramadan is the month in which the Quran was sent down : this Book is a perfect guidance for mankind and consists of clear teachings which show the right way and are a criterion of Truth and falsehood. Therefore from now on whoever witnesses it, it is obligatory on hire to fast the whole month, but if one be ill or on a journey, he should make up for the same number by fasting on other days. Allah desires to show leniency to you and does not desire to show any hardship. "therefore this method is being shown to you so that you may complete the number of Fast days and glorify Allah for the Guidance He has shown to you and be grateful to Him.

Translit: Shahru ramadana allathee onzila feehi alquranu hudan lilnnasi wabayyinatin mina alhuda waalfurqani faman shahida minkumu alshshahra falyasumhu waman kana mareedan aw AAala safarin faAAiddatun min ayyamin okhara yureedu Allahu bikumu alyusra wala yureedu bikumu alAAusra walitukmiloo alAAiddata walitukabbiroo Allaha AAala ma hadakum walaAAallakum tashkuroona

Translation:

for the guidance of mankind, and He has sent down the Criterion (of right and wrong). Now there shall be a severe punishment for those who reject the Commandments of Allah: for Allah is Almighty, Avenger of wickedness.

Translit: Min qablu hudan lilnnasi waanzala alfurqana inna allatheena kafaroo biayati Allahi lahum AAathabun shadeedun waAllahu AAazeezun thoo intiqamin

Translation:

Indeed, We sent down the Torah wherein was Guidance and Light: thereby All the Prophets, who were Muslims, judged the cases of those who had become Jews. Likewise the Rabbanis and the Ahbar (based their judgment on it), for they were made the guardians of the Book of Allah and witnesses to it. So, (O Jews), do not fear the people but fear Me and do not sell My revelations for paltry worldly gains: those, who do not judge by the Law which Allah has sent down, are indeed the disbelievers.

Translit: Inna anzalna alttawrata feeha hudan wanoorun yahkumu biha alnnabiyyoona allatheena aslamoo lillatheena hadoo waalrrabbaniyyoona waalahbaru bima istuhfithoo min kitabi Allahi wakanoo AAalayhi shuhadaa fala takhshawoo alnnasa waikhshawni wala tashtaroo biayatee thamanan qaleelan waman lam yahkum bima anzala Allahu faolaika humu alkafiroona

Translation:

Then after those Prophets, We sent Jesus, son of Mary; he confirmed whatever had still remained intact of the Torah in his time. And We gave him the Gospel wherein was Guidance and Light; that too, confirmed what was intact of the Torah at the time; moreover, it was guidance and admonition for the God-fearing people.

Translit: Waqaffayna AAala atharihim biAAeesa ibni maryama musaddiqan lima bayna yadayhi mina alttawrati waataynahu alinjeela feehi hudan wanoorun wamusaddiqan lima bayna yadayhi mina alttawrati wahudan wamawAAithatan lilmuttaqeena

Translation:

Those people formed quite a wrong estimate of Allah, when they said, "Allah has not sent down anything to any man." Ask them: "Then who sent down the Book, which Moses brought: which was Light and Guidance for mankind: which you have divided into fragments, a part of which you show to the people and most of it you hide from them: by which you were given that knowledge which neither you nor your forefathers possessed?" Just say, "Allah", and then leave them alone to play with their useless arguments.

Translit: Wama qadaroo Allaha haqqa qadrihi ith qaloo ma anzala Allahu AAala basharin min shayin qul man anzala alkitaba allathee jaa bihi moosa nooran wahudan lilnnasi tajAAaloonahu qarateesa tubdoonaha watukhfoona katheeran waAAullimtum ma lam taAAlamoo antum wala abaokum quli Allahu thumma tharhum fee khawdihim yalAAaboona

Translation:

Then,We had given to Moses the Book to complete the blessing for those who adopted the righteous attitude; it contained details about all important things, and was a perfect guidance and mercy. (And it had been given to the children of Israel so that) the people might believe in the (ultimate) meeting with their Lord.

Translit: Thumma atayna moosa alkitaba tamaman AAala allathee ahsana watafseelan likulli shayin wahudan warahmatan laAAallahum biliqai rabbihim yuminoona

Translation:

"If the Book had been sent down to us, we would have proved ourselves more righteous than they." Now that a clear proof and Guidance and Blessing, has come to you from your Lord, who can be more unjust than the one who treats Our Revelations as false and turns away from them? We will inflict the severest torment on those who turn away from Our Signs because of their aversion.

Translit: Aw taqooloo law anna onzila AAalayna alkitabu lakunna ahda minhum faqad jaakum bayyinatun min rabbikum wahudan warahmatun faman athlamu mimman kaththaba biayati Allahi wasadafa AAanha sanajzee allatheena yasdifoona AAan ayatina sooa alAAathabi bima kanoo yasdifoona

We have brought to these people a Book which gives details based on knowledge36 and which is a guidance and blessing for those who believe.

When Moses anger was allayed, he took up the tablets in whose writing was guidance and mercy for those who fear their Lord.

There is an object lesson in these stories of the former people for those, who possess common sense. That thing which is being sent down in the Quran is not a forgery, but (is absolutely genuine and) it confirms the previous Scriptures, gives details80 of everything, and is a guidance and blessing for the Believers.

Translit: Laqad kana fee qasasihim AAibratun liolee alalbabi ma kana hadeethan yuftara walakin tasdeeqa allathee bayna yadayhi watafseela kulli shayin wahudan warahmatan liqawmin yuminoona

89] (O Muhammad, warn them of) the Day when We shall call a witness from among every community to testify against it. When he saw a fire he said to his family, "Wait a bit, I have seen a fire: it may be that I bring a burning brand for you, or find guidance (to the way) at the fire."

For every community We have prescribed a way of worship, which it follows; therefore, O Muhammad, let them not dispute with you concerning this matter. And invite the people to the Way of your Lord, for you are on the Straight Way.

After We had destroyed the former generations, We gave Moses the Book, which We made a means of enlightenment for the people, and a Guidance and a Mercy, so that they may learn lessons.

Now, if they do not meet this demand of yours, you should know that they are, in fact, the followers of their own lusts. And who could go farther astray than the one who follows his own lusts, without guidance from Allah ? Allah does not at all guide such wicked people.

Translit: Fain lam yastajeeboo laka faiAAlam annama yattabiAAoona ahwaahum waman adallu mimmani ittabaAAa hawahu bighayri hudan mina Allahi inna Allaha la yahdee alqawma alththalimeena

They are the ones who are on the right path enjoined by their Lord, and they are the ones who will attain true success.

Do you not see that Allah has subjected to you whatever is in the earth and the heavens, and has bestowed on you all His favors, visible as well as invisible?Yet there are some among the people who wrangle about Allah, without any knowledge, or guidance, or an enlightening Book.

Translit: Alam taraw anna Allaha sakhkhara lakum ma fee alssamawati wama fee alardi waasbagha AAalaykum niAAamahu thahiratan wabatinatan wamina alnnasi man yujadilu fee Allahi bighayri AAilmin wala hudan wala kitabin muneerin

Before this We gave Moses the Book. You should, therefore, have no doubt on receiving the same. We had made that Book a Guidance for the children of Israel;

Translation:

Had We sent this Qur'an in a foreign tongue, the people would have said, "Why have not its verses been well expounded? What! The scripture in a foreign language and the listeners are Arabs? Say to them, 'This Qur'an is a guidance and a healing for the believers, but to those who do not believe, it is a plug in their ears and a covering over their eyes. It is as though they are being summoned from afar.

Translit: Walaw jaAAalnahu quranan aAAjamiyyan laqaloo lawla fussilat ayatuhu aaAAjamiyyun waAAarabiyyun qul huwa lillatheena amanoo hudan washifaon waallatheena la yuminoona fee athanihim waqrun wahuwa AAalayhim AAaman olaika yunadawna min makanin baAAeedin

This Qur'an is true Guidance, and for those who have refused to believe in the Revelations of their Lord, there is the torment of a terrible scourge.
