Translation:

They replied, "Glory be to You. You alone are free from defect. We possess only that much knowledge which You have given us. Indeed You alone are All-Knowing and All-Wise."

Translit: Qaloo subhanaka la AAilma lana illa ma AAallamtana innaka anta alAAaleemu alhakeemu

Translation:

Allah: the Everlasting, the Sustainer of the whole Universe; there is no god but He. He does neither slumber nor sleep. Whatsoever is in the heavens and in the earth is His.280 Who is there that can intercede with Him except by His own permission.? He knows what is before the people and also what is hidden from them. And they cannot comprehend anything of His knowledge save whatever He Himself pleases to reveal. His Kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth and the guarding of these does not weary Him. He alone is the Supreme and the Exalted.

Translit: Allahu laA ilaha illa huwa alhayyu alqayyoomu la takhuthuhu sinatun wa laA nawmun lahu ma fee alssamawati wa maA fee alardi man tha allathee yashfaAAu AAindahu illa biithnihi yaAAlamu ma bayna aydeehim wa maA khalfahum wa laA yuheetoona bishayin min AAilmihi illa bima shaa wasiAAa kursiyyuhu alssamawati waalarda wa laA yaooduhu hifthuhuma wa huwa alAAaliyyu alAAatheemu

Translation:

You have had enough arguments about things of which you had some knowledge: why should you now argue about that also of which you know nothing at all? Allah knows, but you know nothing.

Translit: Haantum haolai hajajtum feema lakum bihi AAilmun falima tuhajjoona feema laysa lakum bihi AAilmun waAllahu yaAAlamu waantum la taAAlamoona

Translation:

they themselves bragged, "We have slain Jesus, son of Mary, a Messenger of Allah." Whereas in fact, they did not slay him nor did they crucify him but the matter was made dubious for them. And those who have differed about this matter are also in doubt concerning it. They have no knowledge of it but they follow mere conjectures, for it is certain that they did not kill Jesus.

Translit: Waqawlihim inna qatalna almaseeha AAeesa ibna maryama rasoola Allahi wama qataloohu wama salaboohu walakin shubbiha lahum wainna allatheena ikhtalafoo feehi lafee shakkin minhu ma lahum bihi min AAilmin illa ittibaAAa alththanni wama qataloohu yaqeenan

Translation:

On the Day,-- when Allah will assemble all the Messengers, He will ask, "What was the response you received?" They will answer, "We have no knowledge: You alone have the full knowledge of all that is hidden."

Translation:

And when his people began to argue with him, he said to them, "Do you argue with me in regard to Allah, whereas He has shown Guidance to me? And I do not fear those whom you have taken for gods: except that it be my Lords will, for if my Lord wills anything it must happen. The knowledge of my Lord embraces everything. Will you not, then, remember this and come to your senses?

Translit: Wahajjahu qawmuhu qala atuhajjoonnee fee Allahi waqad hadani wala akhafu ma tushrikoona bihi illa an yashaa rabbee shayan wasiAAa rabbee kulla shayin AAilman afala tatathakkaroona

Translation:

Yet they set up the Jinn as partners with Allah, whereas He is their Creator; they have also invented for Him sons and daughters without having any knowledge whereas He is absolutely free from and exalted far above the things they say.

Translit: WajaAAaloo lillahi shurakaa aljinna wakhalaqahum wakharaqoo lahu baneena wabanatin bighayri AAilmin subhanahu wataAAala AAamma yasifoona

Translation:

And (O Believers), do not revile those whom they invoke besides Allah lest they should, in their ignorance, revile Allah (besides committing shirk). We have thus made the deeds of every people seem fair to them. Ultimately, they shall have to return to their Lord; then He will let them know what they have been doing.

Translit: Wala tasubboo allatheena yadAAoona min dooni Allahi fayasubboo Allaha AAadwan bighayri AAilmin kathalika zayyanna likulli ommatin AAamalahum thumma ila rabbihim marjiAAuhum fayunabbiohum bima kanoo yaAAmaloona

Translation:

And why should you not eat that thing over which Allahs name has been mentioned when He has already given you explicit knowledge of those things which He has forbidden for you, except in a case of extreme helplessness? as As regards the majority of the people, they, following their caprices, say misleading things without any knowledge. Your Lord best knows these transgressors.

Translit: Wama lakum alla takuloo mimma thukira ismu Allahi AAalayhi waqad fassala lakum ma harrama AAalaykum illa ma idturirtum ilayhi wainna katheeran layudilloona biahwaihim bighayri AAilmin inna rabbaka huwa aAAlamu bialmuAAtadeena

Translation:

Most surely they became losers, who, in their folly and ignorance killed their own children, and made unlawful what Allah had provided them as sustenance falsely ascribing prohibitions to Allah. Surely they went astray and were not at all rightly guided.

Translit: Qad khasira allatheena qataloo awladahum safahan bighayri AAilmin waharramoo ma razaqahumu Allahu iftiraan AAala Allahi qad dalloo wama kanoo muhtadeena

Translation:

Likewise, take a pair of the camel family and a pair of the cow family, and ask them, "Has He of these forbidden the males or the females or the young ones that are in the wombs of the she-camel and the cow?" Were you present at the time when Allah prescribed these prohibitory laws? (If not), who can then be more wicked than the one, who invents a falsehood and ascribes it to Allah so that he should, without knowledge, mislead the people? Indeed, Allah does not show guidance to such transgressors.

Translit: Wamina alibili ithnayni wamina albaqari ithnayni qul alththakarayni harrama ami alonthayayni amma ishtamalat AAalayhi arhamu alonthayayni am kuntum shuhadaa ith wassakumu Allahu bihatha faman athlamu mimmani iftara AAala Allahi kathiban liyudilla alnnasa bighayri AAilmin inna Allaha la yahdee alqawma alththalimeena

We have brought to these people a Book which gives details based on knowledge36 and which is a guidance and blessing for those who believe.

We shall be guilty of attributing a lie to Allah, if we return to your creed, after Allah has delivered us from it; nor can we now return to your creed, except that Allah, our Lord, wills it;73 the knowledge of our Lord embraces everything; in Allah we put our trust, Our Lord, judge with truth between us and our people, and Thou art the best of judges."

Translit: Qadi iftarayna AAala Allahi kathiban in AAudna fee millatikum baAAda ith najjana Allahu minha wama yakoonu lana an naAAooda feeha illa an yashaa Allahu rabbuna wasiAAa rabbuna kulla shayin AAilman AAala Allahi tawakkalna rabbana iftah baynana wabayna qawmina bialhaqqi waanta khayru alfatiheena

Translation:

These people ask you: "Well, when is the Hour of Resurrection coming?" Say, "Its knowledge is with my Lord alone: He Himself will disclose it at the proper time: that Hour will weigh heavily on the heavens and the earth. It will come on you all of a sudden. " They ask you about it as though you have been in search for it. Say; "Its knowledge is with Allah alone, but most of the people do not know this. "

Translation:

In answer it was said, "O Noah! He is not of your family; he has turned out to be a worthless act. So do not ask Me anything of which you have no knowledge. I admonish you that you should not behave like ignorant people."

Translit: Qala ya noohu innahu laysa min ahlika innahu AAamalun ghayru salihin fala tasalni ma laysa laka bihi AAilmun innee aAAithuka an takoona mina aljahileena

Translation:

Noah meekly replied, "My Lord, I seek Thy protection lest I should ask of Thee anything of which I have no knowledge. For if Thou forgivest me not for my presumption, and hast not mercy on me, I shall be totally ruined.

Translit: Qala rabbi innee aAAoothu bika an asalaka ma laysa lee bihi AAilmun wailla taghfir lee watarhamnee akun mina alkhasireena

Translation:

And it so happened that when they entered the city by different gates as their father had advised them the precautionary measure proved ineffective against Allahs will. Of course Jacob had done his best to avert the fear he had in his heart. Indeed he possessed knowledge because of what We had taught him: but most people do not understand the reality of the matter.

Translit: Walamma dakhaloo min haythu amarahum aboohum ma kana yughnee AAanhum mina Allahi min shayin illa hajatan fee nafsi yaAAqooba qadaha wainnahu lathoo AAilmin lima AAallamnahu walakinna akthara alnnasi la yaAAlamoona

Translation:

Then Joseph first began to search the packs of his step-brothers before searching the pack of his own brother. At last he took it out from the pack of his brother. Thus We supported Joseph with Our plan: or it did not behoove Joseph to seize his brother (by the kings law) except that Allah willed it so. We raise high the ranks of those We will, and there is the One Whose knowledge is far greater than the knowledge of all others.

Translit: Fabadaa biawAAiyatihim qabla wiAAai akheehi thumma istakhrajaha min wiAAai akheehi kathalika kidna liyoosufa ma kana liyakhutha akhahu fee deeni almaliki illa an yashaa Allahu narfaAAu darajatin man nashao wafawqa kulli thee AAilmin AAaleemun

These disbelievers say, â€œYou are not a Messenger of Allah.â€ Say, â€œAllah suffices for a witness between me and you, and every such person who has the knowledge of the Book.â€

Translit: Wayaqoolu allatheena kafaroo lasta mursalan qul kafa biAllahi shaheedan baynee wabaynakum waman AAindahu AAilmu alkitabi

Translation:

They say such things so that they should bear the full brunt of their own burdens on the Day of Resurrection together with some of the burdens of those whom they are leading astray in their ignorance. Behold! what a heavy responsibility they are taking on themselves!

Translit: Liyahmiloo awzarahum kamilatan yawma alqiyamati wamin awzari allatheena yudilloonahum bighayri AAilmin ala saa ma yaziroona

Translation:

And consider this: Allah created you: then He causes your death; and some one from among you is carried on to abject old age so that after knowing all he could, he may no longer have any knowledge of it. The fact is that Allah alone is All-Knowing, All-Powerful.

Translit: WaAllahu khalaqakum thumma yatawaffakum waminkum man yuraddu ila arthali alAAumuri likay la yaAAlama baAAda AAilmin shayan inna Allaha AAaleemun qadeerun

13. Do not follow that of which you have no knowledge for you shall be questioned for (the use) of your eyes, ears and minds.

There are some among the people, who indulge in discussions about Allah without any knowledge and follow every rebellious Satan,

Translation:

O people, if you have any doubt about Life after death, you should know that We first created you of clay, then of a sperm-drop then of a clot of blood, then of a lump of flesh, shaped or shapeless. ( We are telling you this) so that We may make the reality plain to you. And We make those (sperm drops), which We will, remain in the wombs for a fixed period, then We bring you forth as a child; then (We nourish you) so that you may attain to your full youth. And there may be among you one who is recalled earlier and one who is returned to the most abject age so that he should know nothing even after knowing all he could. And you see the land lying dry and barren, but as soon as We send down rain water upon it, it stirs (to life), and swells and brings forth every kind of luxuriant vegetation.

Translit: Ya ayyuha alnnasu in kuntum fee raybin mina albaAAthi fainna khalaqnakum min turabin thumma min nutfatin thumma min AAalaqatin thumma min mudghatin mukhallaqatin waghayri mukhallaqatin linubayyina lakum wanuqirru fee alarhami ma nashao ila ajalin musamman thumma nukhrijukum tiflan thumma litablughoo ashuddakum waminkum man yutawaffa waminkum man yuraddu ila arthali alAAumuri likayla yaAAlama min baAAdi AAilmin shayan watara alarda hamidatan faitha anzalna AAalayha almaa ihtazzat warabat waanbata

There are still others who arrogantly dispute about Allah without any knowledge and guidance and illuminating Book,

Translit: Wamina alnnasi man yujadilu fee Allahi bighayri AAilmin wala hudan wala kitabin muneerin

Translation:

They worship, besides Allah, those for whom He has sent down no authority nor they themselves have any knowledge about them. Such transgressors have no helper.

Translit: WayaAAbudoona min dooni Allahi ma lam yunazzil bihi sultanan wama laysa lahum bihi AAilmun wama lilththalimeena min naseerin

Translation:

(Just think how erroneous you were,) when you passed this lie on from one tongue to the other and uttered with your mouths that of which you had no knowledge. You took it as a trifling matter whereas it was a grave offense in the sight of Allah.

Translit: Ith talaqqawnahu bialsinatikum wataqooloona biafwahikum ma laysa lakum bihi AAilmun watahsaboonahu hayyinan wahuwa AAinda Allahi AAatheemun

Noah said, "I have no knowledge of what they do:

Translit: Qala wama AAilmee bima kanoo yaAAmaloona

(On the other hand,) We gave knowledge to David and Solomon, and they said, "Praise is for Allah Who exalted us above many of His believing servants."

Translation:

He who possessed knowledge of the Book, spoke out, "I will fetch it to you in the twinkling of an eye." As soon as Solomon saw the throne placed before him, he exclaimed: "This is by the Grace of my Lord so that He may test me (to see) whether I am grateful or ungrateful! And the one who is grateful is grateful only for the good of his own self; as for the one who is ungrateful, my Lord is All-Sufficient and Self-Exalted."

Translit: Qala allathee AAindahu AAilmun mina alkitabi ana ateeka bihi qabla an yartadda ilayka tarfuka falamma raahu mustaqirran AAindahu qala hatha min fadli rabbee liyabluwanee aashkuru am akfuru waman shakara fainnama yashkuru linafsihi waman kafara fainna rabbee ghaniyyun kareemun

Translation:

But (on the contrary,) these people have lost the knowledge of the Hereafter;" nay, they are in doubt about it; nay, they are blind to it.

Translit: Bali iddaraka AAilmuhum fee alakhirati bal hum fee shakkin minha bal hum minha AAamoona

Translation:

then they will be arranged (according to their classification and merit) until when all of them will have arrived, (their Lord) will ask them, "Did you treat My Revelations as false whereas you did not comprehend them by knowledge? If not this, what else were you doing?"

Translit: Hatta itha jaoo qala akaththabtum biayatee walam tuheetoo biha AAilman ammatha kuntum taAAmaloona

Translation:

But he replied, "All that I have been given is by virtue of the knowledge that I possess." Did he not know that Allah had destroyed before him many such people who were mightier than him in power and strength? But the criminals are not asked as to their sins.

Translit: Qala innama ooteetuhu AAala AAilmin AAindee awalam yaAAlam anna Allaha qad ahlaka min qablihi mina alqurooni man huwa ashaddu minhu quwwatan waaktharu jamAAan wala yusalu AAan thunoobihimu almujrimoona

Translation:

We have conjoined man to do good to his parents, but if they force you to associate with Me another (deity) whom you do not know (as such), you should not obey them." You have all to return to Me: then I shall tell you what you had been doing

Translit: Wawassayna alinsana biwalidayhi husnan wain jahadaka litushrika bee ma laysa laka bihi AAilmun fala tutiAAhuma ilayya marjiAAukum faonabbiokum bima kuntum taAAmaloona

Translation:

But the wrongdoers are following their own desires, without any knowledge. Now, who can guide the one whom Allah has led astray? Such people can have no helper.

Translit: Bali ittabaAAa allatheena thalamoo ahwaahum bighayri AAilmin faman yahdee man adalla Allahu wama lahum min nasireena

Translation:

And there is among the men such a one also, who buys alluring tales so that he may lead the people astray from Allah's Way, without any knowledge, and make a mockery of the invitation to it. For such people there is a disgraceful torment.

Translit: Wamina alnnasi man yashtaree lahwa alhadeethi liyudilla AAan sabeeli Allahi bighayri AAilmin wayattakhithaha huzuwan olaika lahum AAathabun muheenun

But if they press you to join with Me another about whom you have no knowledge, do not obey them at all. Treat them kindly in the world, but follow the way of him who has turned to Me. Then to Me will all of you return; then I shall tell you what you had been doing.

Translit: Wain jahadaka AAala an tushrika bee ma laysa laka bihi AAilmun fala tutiAAhuma wasahibhuma fee alddunya maAAroofan waittabiAA sabeela man anaba ilayya thumma ilayya marjiAAukum faonabbiokum bima kuntum taAAmaloona

Do you not see that Allah has subjected to you whatever is in the earth and the heavens, and has bestowed on you all His favors, visible as well as invisible?Yet there are some among the people who wrangle about Allah, without any knowledge, or guidance, or an enlightening Book.

Translit: Alam taraw anna Allaha sakhkhara lakum ma fee alssamawati wama fee alardi waasbagha AAalaykum niAAamahu thahiratan wabatinatan wamina alnnasi man yujadilu fee Allahi bighayri AAilmin wala hudan wala kitabin muneerin

Translation:

Allah alone has the knowledge of the Hour: He alone sends down the rain and He alone knows what is taking shape in the wombs of the mothers. No living being knows what he will earn the next day, nor does anybody know in what land he will die. Allah alone is All-Knowing, All-Aware.

Translit: Inna Allaha AAindahu AAilmu alssaAAati wayunazzilu alghaytha wayaAAlamu ma fee alarhami wama tadree nafsun matha taksibu ghadan wama tadree nafsun biayyi ardin tamootu inna Allaha AAaleemun khabeerun

The people ask you as to when will Resurrection take place. Say, "The knowledge of it is with Allah alone: you may not know that it may well be near at hand.

Translit: Yasaluka alnnasu AAani alssaAAati qul innama AAilmuha AAinda Allahi wama yudreeka laAAalla alssaAAata takoonu qareeban

(Say to them,) "I had no knowledge of the time when the exalted ones were disputing among themselves.

Man is such that when a little affliction touches him, he calls upon Us, and when We bestow Our favor on him, he says, "I have been given this because of my knowledge!" Nay, it is a trial, but most of them do not know.

You call me to deny Allah and associate with Him those whom I do not know, while I am calling you to the All-Mighty, the All-Forgiving God.

Translit: TadAAoonanee liakfura biAllahi waoshrika bihi ma laysa lee bihi AAilmun waana adAAookum ila alAAazeezi alghaffari

Translation:

To Allah is remitted the knowledge of the Hour. He alone knows all the fruits that come out from their sheaths: He alone knows which female has conceived and which has given birth. Then on the Day when He will call out to the people, asking, "Where are those associates of Mine"? they will say, "We have submitted: there is none of us to bear witness to that."

Translit: Ilayhi yuraddu AAilmu alssaAAati wama takhruju min thamaratin min akmamiha wama tahmilu min ontha wala tadaAAu illa biAAilmihi wayawma yunadeehim ayna shurakaee qaloo athannaka ma minna min shaheedin

They say, "Had the Merciful God willed (that we should not worship them), We would never have worshiped them." They do not at all know the fact of the matter: they only conjecture.

Highly blessed is He to Whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth and of all that lies between them. He alone has the knowledge of the Hour of Resurrection, and to Him you shall all be returned.

and We exalted them, knowing them to be so, above the other nations of the world,

Then, have you ever considered the case of the person who made his lust his god, and Allah, in spite of knowledge, let him go astray and set a seal upon his heart and ears and laid a covering on his eyes? Who is there after Allah Who can guide him? Do you learn no lesson?

Translit: Afaraayta mani ittakhatha ilahahu hawahu waadallahu Allahu AAala AAilmin wakhatama AAala samAAihi waqalbihi wajaAAala AAala basarihi ghishawatan faman yahdeehi min baAAdi Allahi afala tathakkaroona

They say, "Life is only this worldly life of ours. Here we shall die and live and nothing but the change of time destroys us." In fact, they have no knowledge concerning this. They merely guess.

Translit: Waqaloo ma hiya illa hayatuna alddunya namootu wanahya wama yuhlikuna illa alddahru wama lahum bithalika min AAilmin in hum illa yathunnoona

O Prophet, say to them, "Have you ever seen with open eyes those whom you invoke instead of Allah? Show me what they have created in the world, or, have they any share in the creation and control of the heavens? Bring me a Book revealed before this, or produce some remnant of knowledge (in support of your beliefs) if you are truthful."

Translit: Qul araaytum ma tadAAoona min dooni Allahi aroonee matha khalaqoo mina alardi am lahum shirkun fee alssamawati eetoonee bikitabin min qabli hatha aw atharatin min AAilmin in kuntum sadiqeena

They are the ones who disbelieved and debarred you from the Masjid al-Haram and hindered the sacrificial animals from reaching their place of sacrifice. Men and women (in Makkah) whom you do not know and the fear that you would trample them under foot without knowing it and incur blame on that account, (the fighting would not have been allowed to stop. It was stopped), so that Allah may admit into His mercy whom He will. Had the believers stood apart (from the people of Makkah), We would have severely punished the disbelievers among them.

Translit: Humu allatheena kafaroo wasaddookum AAani almasjidi alharami waalhadya maAAkoofan an yablugha mahillahu walawla rijalun muminoona wanisaon muminatun lam taAAlamoohum an tataoohum fatuseebakum minhum maAAarratun bighayri AAilmin liyudkhila Allahu fee rahmatihi man yashao law tazayyaloo laAAaththabna allatheena kafaroo minhum AAathaban aleeman
