Husna [26]

Translation:

Remember that We made a solemn covenant with the children of Israel to this effect: worship none save Allah: be good to your parents, to your relatives, to the orphans and to the helpless; speak aright with the people: establish the Salat and pay the Zakat. But with the exception of a few, you all slid back from it and are paying no heed to it even now.

Translit: Waith akhathna meethaqa banee israeela la taAAbudoona illa Allaha wabialwalidayni ihsanan wathee alqurba waalyatama waalmasakeeni waqooloo lilnnasi husnan waaqeemoo alssalata waatoo alzzakata thumma tawallaytum illa qaleelan minkum waantum muAAridoona

Translation:

Whereupon Allah gave them the rewards of this world and also the better rewards of the Next World: Allah likes only those people who do good deeds.

Translit: Faatahumu Allahu thawaba alddunya wahusna thawabi alakhirati waAllahu yuhibbu almuhsineena

Translation:

Those people from among the Muslims who stay at home without any genuine excuse are not equal in rank with those who exert their utmost with their lives and wealth for the cause of Allah. For Allah has assigned a higher rank to those who exert their utmost with their lives and wealth than those who stay at home. Though Allah has promised a good reward for all, he has a far richer reward for those who fight for Him than for those who stay at home:

Translit: La yastawee alqaAAidoona mina almumineena ghayru olee alddarari waalmujahidoona fee sabeeli Allahi biamwalihim waanfusihim faddala Allahu almujahideena biamwalihim waanfusihim AAala alqaAAideena darajatan wakullan waAAada Allahu alhusna wafaddala Allahu almujahideena AAala alqaAAideena ajran AAatheeman

Translation:

And after them We gave as heritage to those who had been abased and kept low, the eastern and western parts of that land, which had been blessed bountifully by Us. Thus the promise of prosperity that your Lord had made with the Israelites was fulfilled, because they had shown fortitude. And We destroyed all that Pharaoh and his people had constructed and raised up.

Translit: Waawrathna alqawma allatheena kanoo yustadAAafoona mashariqa alardi wamagharibaha allatee barakna feeha watammat kalimatu rabbika alhusna AAala banee israeela bima sabaroo wadammarna ma kana yasnaAAu firAAawnu waqawmuhu wama kanoo yaAArishoona

Translation:

Allah is entitled to most excellent names: so call Him by excellent names only and leave alone those who deviate froth the Truth in giving names to Him; they shall be recompensed for what they have been doing.

Translit: Walillahi alasmao alhusna faodAAoohu biha watharoo allatheena yulhidoona fee asmaihi sayujzawna ma kanoo yaAAmaloona

Say to them, "What can be the thing you await for us other than one of the two .best things? But what we await for you is whether Allah Himself inflicts His chastisement on you or at our hands; well, now await, and we, too await with you."

Translit: Qul hal tarabbasoona bina illa ihda alhusnayayni wanahnu natarabbasu bikum an yuseebakumu Allahu biAAathabin min AAindihi aw biaydeena fatarabbasoo inna maAAakum mutarabbisoona

Translation:

There are others who built a "mosque" in order to harm the Righteous Mission and to practice unbelief (instead of Allahs worship) and to cause discord among the Believers, and to make this (place of worship) an ambush for the one who even before this had been in conflict with Allah and His Messenger. They will take solemn oaths and say, "Our intention was nothing but good." But Allah is a witness that they are absolute liars.

Translit: Waallatheena ittakhathoo masjidan diraran wakufran watafreeqan bayna almumineena wairsadan liman haraba Allaha warasoolahu min qablu walayahlifunna in aradna illa alhusna waAllahu yashhadu innahum lakathiboona

Translation:

Those who have done excellent works will get excellent rewards, and even more than their merits: neither gloom nor disgrace shall cover their faces. They deserve the Garden, where they will abide for ever.

Translit: Lillatheena ahsanoo alhusna waziyadatun wala yarhaqu wujoohahum qatarun wala thillatun olaika ashabu aljannati hum feeha khalidoona

Translation:

There is an excellent reward for those who responded to the call of their Lord. As for those who rejected His call, they would willingly give for their ransom all the wealth the earth contained, if they possessed it, and as much more besides (in order to escape retribution). Those are the people who shall have the heavy reckoning; their abode shall be Hell-a wretched resting place.

Translit: Lillatheena istajaboo lirabbihimu alhusna waallatheena lam yastajeeboo lahu law anna lahum ma fee alardi jameeAAan wamithlahu maAAahu laiftadaw bihi olaika lahum sooo alhisabi wamawahum jahannamu wabisa almihadu

Translation:

Yet they assign to Allah what they themselves dislike, and their tongues utter the lie that their lot shall be a fair one anyhow. Nay, only one thing awaits them, and that is the fire of Hell, wherein most certainly they shall be hastened.

Translit: WayajAAaloona lillahi ma yakrahoona watasifu alsinatuhumu alkathiba anna lahumu alhusna la jarama anna lahumu alnnara waannahum mufratoona

O Prophet, say to them, â€œYou may call Him by any name, Allah or Rahman, for it is all the same by whichever name you call Him because all His names are most excellent. And do not raise your voice high in your Prayer nor make it very low but adopt the middle way between these two

Translit: Quli odAAoo Allaha awi odAAoo alrrahmana ayyan ma tadAAoo falahu alasmao alhusna wala tajhar bisalatika wala tukhafit biha waibtaghi bayna thalika sabeelan

(to the West and marched on) till he reached the limit where the sun set, and found it setting in black waters, and there he saw a people. We said to him, "O Zul-Qarnain! You have the power to punish them and also the option to treat them generously.â€

This was an admonition. (Now listen:) for the righteous there is indeed an excellent resort:

But when We let him taste Our mercy after the hardship, he says, "I deserve this, and I do not think that the Hour (of Resurrection) will ever come. But if I am really brought back to my Lord, I shall have good reward with Him, too. " The fact, however, is that We shall certainly tell the disbelievers what they had done, and We shall make them taste a most degrading Chastisement.

Translit: Walain athaqnahu rahmatan minna min baAAdi darraa massathu layaqoolanna hatha lee wama athunnu alssaAAata qaimatan walain rujiAAtu ila rabbee inna lee AAindahu lalhusna falanunabbianna allatheena kafaroo bima AAamiloo walanutheeqannahum min AAathabin ghaleethin

Translation:

This is that of which Allah gives good news to His servants, who believed and did good works. O Prophet, say to them: "I do not ask of you any reward for this work. However, I do seek the love of the kindred." Whoever earns a good deed, We shall increase its good for him. Indeed, Allah is All-Forgiving and Appreciative.

Translit: Thalika allathee yubashshiru Allahu AAibadahu allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati qul la asalukum AAalayhi ajran illa almawaddata fee alqurba waman yaqtarif hasanatan nazid lahu feeha husnan inna Allaha ghafoorun shakoorun

and to Allah belongs everything in the heavens and the earth so that Allah may recompense the evil doers according to their deeds and give good rewards to those who have adopted the righteous attitude,

What is the matter with you that you do not spend in the Way of Allah, whereas Allah's is the inheritance of the heavens and the earth? Those of you who will spend and fight after the victory can never be equal to those who have spent and fought before the victory. They are higher in rank than those who spent and fought afterwards, though Allah has made good promises to both. Allah is well aware of whatever you do.

Translit: Wama lakum alla tunfiqoo fee sabeeli Allahi walillahi meerathu alssamawati waalardi la yastawee minkum man anfaqa min qabli alfathi waqatala olaika aAAthamu darajatan mina allatheena anfaqoo min baAAdu waqataloo wakullan waAAada Allahu alhusna waAllahu bima taAAmaloona khabeerun

Who is the Planner of Creation, its Enforcer and its Fashioner. His are the excellent names. Whatever is there in the heavens and the earth glorifies Him. and He is the All-Mighty and the All-Wise.
