Translation:

Or (still another parable may be cited to depict their condition): heavy rain is falling from the sky, accompanied by pitch darkness, thunder and lightning. When they hear the thunderclap, they thrust their fingers into their ears for fear of death, but Allah is encircling the disbelievers on all sides.

Translit: Aw kasayyibin mina alssamai feehi thulumatun waraAAdun wabarqun yajAAaloona asabiAAahum fee athanihim mina alssawaAAiqi hathara almawti waAllahu muheetun bialkafireena

Translation:

We said, "Now go down, all of you from here. Henceforth there shall come to you Guidance from Me now and again: whoever will follow it shall have neither fear nor sorrow

Remember that when Moses prayed for water for his people, We answered, "Strike the rock with your staff" : whereupon twelve springs gushed forth from it; the people of every clan came to know their drinking place. (Then they were enjoined:) "Eat and drink of what Allah has provided and do not spread disorder on the earth."

Translit: Waithi istasqa moosa liqawmihi faqulna idrib biAAasaka alhajara fainfajarat minhu ithnata AAashrata AAaynan qad AAalima kullu onasin mashrabahum kuloo waishraboo min rizqi Allahi wala taAAthaw fee alardi mufsideena

Translation:

The Jews and the Christians will never be satisfied with you, O Muhammad, until you follow their way.121 Tell them plainly, "The right way is shown by Allah." And if, after all the knowledge you have received, you were to yield to their desires, you shall find neither any friend nor helper to protect you from Allahs wrath.

Translit: Walan tarda AAanka alyahoodu wala alnnasara hatta tattabiAAa millatahum qul inna huda Allahi huwa alhuda walaini ittabaAAta ahwaahum baAAda allathee jaaka mina alAAilmi ma laka mina Allahi min waliyyin wala naseerin

Translation:

We had appointed the former qiblah towards which you used to turn your face merely to test who would follow the Messenger and who would turn back. It was indeed a hard test but not for those who had been blessed with Guidance from Allah. Allah will not let go to waste this faith of yours; rest assured that He is full of pity and mercy for mankind.

Translit: Wakathalika jaAAalnakum ommatan wasatan litakoonoo shuhadaa AAala alnnasi wayakoona alrrasoolu AAalaykum shaheedan wama jaAAalna alqiblata allatee kunta AAalayha illa linaAAlama man yattabiAAu alrrasoola mimman yanqalibu AAala AAaqibayhi wain kanat lakabeeratan illa AAala allatheena hada Allahu wama kana Allahu liyudeeAAa eemanakum inna Allaha bialnnasi laraoofun raheemun

Even though you may show every kind of sign to the people of the Book, they will not adopt your qiblah, nor are you going to adopt their qiblah; nor will any of them adopt the qiblah of the other; therefore if, after the knowledge you have received, you follow their desires, you will certainly be counted among the transgressors.

Translit: Walain atayta allatheena ootoo alkitaba bikulli ayatin ma tabiAAoo qiblataka wama anta bitabiAAin qiblatahum wama baAAduhum bitabiAAin qiblata baAAdin walaini ittabaAAta ahwaahum min baAAdi ma jaaka mina alAAilmi innaka ithan lamina alththalimeena

When He will inflict punishment, those very leaders and guides whom they followed in the world will disown them. But punishment they shall get and all their bonds shall be cut off.

Translit: Ith tabarraa allatheena ittubiAAoo mina allatheena ittabaAAoo waraawoo alAAathaba wataqattaAAat bihimu alasbabu

O people, eat of what is lawful and clean in the earth and do not follow the ways of Satan, for he is your avowed enemy.

Translation:

When it is said to them, "Follow the Commands that Allah has sent down," they reply, "We will follow only what we found our forefathers practising. Well, will they go on following their forefathers even though they did not use common sense and did not find the right way?

Translit: Waitha qeela lahumu ittabiAAoo ma anzala Allahu qaloo bal nattabiAAu ma alfayna AAalayhi abaana awalaw kana abaohum la yaAAqiloona shayan wala yahtadoona

Translation:

It is no virtue. That you turn your faces towards the east or the west, but virtue is that one should sincerely believe in Allah and the Last Day and the Angels and the Book and the Prophets and, out of His love, spend of ones choice wealth for relatives and orphans, for the needy and the wayfarer, for beggars and for the ransom of slaves, and establish the Salat and pay the Zakat. And the virtuous are those who keep their pledges when they make them and show fortitude in hardships and adversity and in the struggle between the Truth and falsehood; such are the truthful people and such are the pious.

Translit: Laysa albirra an tuwalloo wujoohakum qibala almashriqi waalmaghribi walakinna albirra man amana biAllahi waalyawmi alakhiri waalmalaikati waalkitabi waalnnabiyyeena waata almala AAala hubbihi thawee alqurba waalyatama waalmasakeena waibna alssabeeli waalssaileena wafee alrriqabi waaqama alssalata waata alzzakata waalmoofoona biAAahdihim itha AAahadoo waalssabireena fee albasai waalddarrai waheena albasi olaika allatheena sadaqoo waolaika humu almuttaqoona

O Believers, enter completely into Islam and do not follow in" the footsteps of Satan, for he is your avowed enemy.

Translation:

Those people who expend their wealth in the way of Allah, and then do not follow up their charity with reminders of their generosity nor injure the feelings of the recipient, shall get their reward from their Lord; they will have no fear and no sorrow of any kind.

Translit: Allatheena yunfiqoona amwalahum fee sabeeli Allahi thumma la yutbiAAoona ma anfaqoo mannan wala athan lahum ajruhum AAinda rabbihim wala khawfun AAalayhim wala hum yahzanoona

Translation:

It is He Who has sent down this Book to you. There are two kinds of verses in this Book: muhkamat (which are precise in meaning: ) they are the essence of the Books5 and the other kind is mutashabihat (which are ambiguous. ) Those, who are perverse of heart, always go after the mutashabihat in pursuit of mischief and try to interpret them arbitrarily, whereas in fact, none save Allah knows their real meanings! In contrast to them, those, who possess sound knowledge, say, "We believe in them because all of them are from our Lord." And the fact is that only the people of insight can learn lessons from such things.

Translit: Huwa allathee anzala AAalayka alkitaba minhu ayatun muhkamatun hunna ommu alkitabi waokharu mutashabihatun faamma allatheena fee quloobihim zayghun fayattabiAAoona ma tashabaha minhu ibtighaa alfitnati waibtighaa taweelihi wama yaAAlamu taweelahu illa Allahu waalrrasikhoona fee alAAilmi yaqooloona amanna bihi kullun min AAindi rabbina wama yaththakkaru illa oloo alalbabi

Translation:

Give the good tidings of a painful chastisement to those who reject Allahs .Revelations and slay His Prophets unjustly and are deadly against those who rise up from among the people to enjoin right and justice.

Translit: Inna allatheena yakfuroona biayati Allahi wayaqtuloona alnnabiyyeena bighayri haqqin wayaqtuloona allatheena yamuroona bialqisti mina alnnasi fabashshirhum biAAathabin aleemin

O Prophet, tell the people, "If you sincerely love Allah follow me; then will Allah love you and forgive your sins, for He is Forgiving and Merciful. "

They also say, "Do not follow any except the one who follows your own religion." O Prophet, say to them, "In fact the real guidance is the guidance of Allah: (It is His Will) that He may bless one with the same that He once bestowed upon you, or He may provide others with a strong argument against you to put it before your Lord." O Prophet, say to them, "Bounty and Grace belong to Allah and He may bestow these upon any one He wills, for He is All Embracing, All-knowing: "

Translit: Wala tuminoo illa liman tabiAAa deenakum qul inna alhuda huda Allahi an yuta ahadun mithla ma ooteetum aw yuhajjookum AAinda rabbikum qul inna alfadla biyadi Allahi yuteehi man yashao waAllahu wasiAAun AAaleemun

Nay, Allah loves only such pious people who fulfil their Covenant and abstain from evil.

Translit: Bala man awfa biAAahdihi waittaqa fainna Allaha yuhibbu almuttaqeena

Translation:

As for those who barter away their Covenant with Allah and their own oaths for a paltry profit; they shall have no share in the Hereafter; Allah will not speak to them nor even look at them nor cleanse them of sins on the Day of Resurrectien. There is, on the other hand, a painful punishment in store for them.

Translit: Inna allatheena yashtaroona biAAahdi Allahi waaymanihim thamanan qaleelan olaika la khalaqa lahum fee alakhirati wala yukallimuhumu Allahu wala yanthuru ilayhim yawma alqiyamati wala yuzakkeehim walahum AAathabun aleemun

Say, "What Allah has said is the very Truth; so follow exclusively the way of Abraham, and Abraham was not of those who associated other gods with Allah."

Yes. Allah desires to turn to you mercifully, but those who follow their lusts, want that you should swerve far away from the right path.

Allah knows your enemies well and Allah suffices you for protection and for help.

Translit: WaAllahu aAAlamu biaAAdaikum wakafa biAllahi waliyyan wakafa biAllahi naseeran

Translation:

It does not behoove a Believer to slay another Believer except by error, and if one slays a Believer by error, he must set free one believing slave as expiation and pay blood-money to the heirs of the slain person unless they charitably forego it. But if the murdered Muslim belonged to a people who are at enmity with you, then the expiation shall be the freeing of one believing slave; and if the slain person belonged to a non-Muslim ally of yours, then the blood-money must be paid to his heirs and a believing slave has to be set free. But if one could not afford a slave, then he must fast two consecutive months. This is the way enjoined by Allah for repentance; Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.

Translit: Wama kana limuminin an yaqtula muminan illa khataan waman qatala muminan khataan fatahreeru raqabatin muminatin wadiyatun musallamatun ila ahlihi illa an yassaddaqoo fain kana min qawmin AAaduwwin lakum wahuwa muminun fatahreeru raqabatin muminatin wain kana min qawmin baynakum wabaynahum meethaqun fadiyatun musallamatun ila ahlihi watahreeru raqabatin muminatin faman lam yajid fasiyamu shahrayni mutatabiAAayni tawbatan mina Allahi wakana Allahu AAaleeman hakeeman

Translation:

But as regards him who is bent on opposing the Messenger and is following a way other than that of the Believers after Guidance has become clear to him, We will turn such a one on the way to which he himself has turned, and cast him into Hell which is the most wretched abode.

Translit: Waman yushaqiqi alrrasoola min baAAdi ma tabayyana lahu alhuda wayattabiAA ghayra sabeeli almumineena nuwallihi ma tawalla wanuslihi jahannama wasaat maseeran

Translation:

O Believers, be you the standard-bearers of justice and witnesses for the sake of Allah, even though your justice and your evidence might be harmful to yourselves, or to your parents, or to your relatives. It does not matter whether the party concerned is rich or poor: Allah is their greater well-wisher than you; therefore, do not follow your own desire lest you should deviate from doing justice. If you distort your evidence or refrain from the truth, know it well that Allah is fully aware of what you do.

Translit: Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo koonoo qawwameena bialqisti shuhadaa lillahi walaw AAala anfusikum awi alwalidayni waalaqrabeena in yakun ghaniyyan aw faqeeran faAllahu awla bihima fala tattabiAAoo alhawa an taAAdiloo wain talwoo aw tuAAridoo fainna Allaha kana bima taAAmaloona khabeeran

And why should Allah punish you, if you are grateful and behave like true Believers? For Allah fully appreciates worth and knows everything about everyone.

Translation:

(People may or may not believe it) but Allah bears witness that what He has sent down to you, He has sent that down with His knowledge and the angels also bear witness to it, though Allahs being a witness alone suffices.

Translit: Lakini Allahu yashhadu bima anzala ilayka anzalahu biAAilmihi waalmalaikatu yashhadoona wakafa biAllahi shaheedan

Translation:

Then after those Prophets, We sent Jesus, son of Mary; he confirmed whatever had still remained intact of the Torah in his time. And We gave him the Gospel wherein was Guidance and Light; that too, confirmed what was intact of the Torah at the time; moreover, it was guidance and admonition for the God-fearing people.

Translit: Waqaffayna AAala atharihim biAAeesa ibni maryama musaddiqan lima bayna yadayhi mina alttawrati waataynahu alinjeela feehi hudan wanoorun wamusaddiqan lima bayna yadayhi mina alttawrati wahudan wamawAAithatan lilmuttaqeena

Translation:

Then, O Muhammad, We sent this Book to you which has brought the Truth: it confirms whatever has remained intact from the Book at the time of its revelation and safeguards and protects it. Therefore you should judge between the people by the Law sent down by Allah and do not follow their desires by turning aside from the Truth that has come to you. We prescribed a law and a way of life for each of you, though your Lord could have made all of you a single community, if He had so willed. But (He willed otherwise) in order to test you in what He has bestowed upon each of you: therefore try to excel one another in good deeds. Ultimately, you shall all return to Him; then He will let you know the truth about that in which you have been differing

Translit: Waanzalna ilayka alkitaba bialhaqqi musaddiqan lima bayna yadayhi mina alkitabi wamuhayminan AAalayhi faohkum baynahum bima anzala Allahu wala tattabiAA ahwaahum AAamma jaaka mina alhaqqi likullin jaAAalna minkum shirAAatan waminhajan walaw shaa Allahu lajaAAalakum ommatan wahidatan walakin liyabluwakum fee ma atakum faistabiqoo alkhayrati ila Allahi marjiAAukum jameeAAan fayunabbiokum bima kuntum feehi takhtalifoona

Translation:

So, O Muhammad, judge between these people by the Law that has been sent down to you and do not follow their wishes: be on your guard lest these people should tempt you away, even in the least, from the Guidance that has been sent down to you by Allah. If they turn away from it, then know that Allah wills to involve them in trouble in consequence of some of their sins. And the fact is that the majority of these people are transgressors.

Translit: Waani ohkum baynahum bima anzala Allahu wala tattabiAA ahwaahum waihtharhum an yaftinooka AAan baAAdi ma anzala Allahu ilayka fain tawallaw faiAAlam annama yureedu Allahu an yuseebahum bibaAAdi thunoobihim wainna katheeran mina alnnasi lafasiqoona

Translation:

Say, "O people of the Book, do not transgress the bounds of truth in your religion, and do not follow the fancies of those who themselves went astray before you and led astray many others and strayed away from the Right Way."

Translit: Qul ya ahla alkitabi la taghloo fee deenikum ghayra alhaqqi wala tattabiAAoo ahwaa qawmin qad dalloo min qablu waadalloo katheeran wadalloo AAan sawai alssabeeli

Translation:

Tell them, O Muhammad, "I do not claim that I possess the treasures of Allah nor that I know the "unseen", nor do I claim that I am an angel. I only follow the Revelation that is sent down to me." Then ask them, "Can the blind man and the seeing man be alike? Do you not consider this thing?"

Translit: Qul la aqoolu lakum AAindee khazainu Allahi wala aAAlamu alghayba wala aqoolu lakum innee malakun in attabiAAu illa ma yooha ilayya qul hal yastawee alaAAma waalbaseeru afala tatafakkaroona

Translation:

As a matter of fact, in this way We have made some of them a means for testing the others, so that, seeing them, they should say, "Are these the people from among us upon whom Allah has showered His blessings?" Yes: does not Allah know His grateful servants better than they?

Translit: Wakathalika fatanna baAAdahum bibaAAdin liyaqooloo ahaolai manna Allahu AAalayhim min baynina alaysa Allahu biaAAlama bialshshakireena

Translation:

O Muhammad, say, "I have been forbidden to worship those, whom you invoke beside Allah. " Say, "I will not follow your wishes for if I did that I should have gone astray, and would not be of the right guided. "

Translit: Qul innee nuheetu an aAAbuda allatheena tadAAoona min dooni Allahi qul la attabiAAu ahwaakum qad dalaltu ithan wama ana mina almuhtadeena

Translation:

Therefore, O Muhammad, go on following what has been sent down to you from your Lord, for there is no god besides that One Lord, and leave these mushrikin alone.

Translit: IttabiAA ma oohiya ilayka min rabbika la ilaha illa huwa waaAArid AAani almushrikeena

Translation:

And O Muhammad if you obey most of the dwellers of the earth, they will lead you astray from Allahs Way, for they follow nothing but guess-work and indulge in mere conjectures.

Translit: Wain tutiAA akthara man fee alardi yudillooka AAan sabeeli Allahi in yattabiAAoona illa alththanna wain hum illa yakhrusoona

Translation:

And it is He Who has created from among the cattle, beasts of burden and beasts for riding, and also those whose flesh you eat and whose skins you use for making beds; therefore eat of those provisions that Allah has given you and do not follow in the footsteps of Satan for he is your open enemy.

Translit: Wamina alanAAami hamoolatan wafarshan kuloo mimma razaqakumu Allahu wala tattabiAAoo khutuwati alshshaytani innahu lakum AAaduwwun mubeenun

Translation:

Here are eight kinds of cattle - males and females. Take first a pair of the sheep family and a pair of the goat family, and O Muhammad, ask them, "Has He of these forbidden you (to partake of) the males or the females or the young ones that are in the wombs of the sheep and the goats? Tell me with knowledge, if you are men of truth.

Translit: Thamaniyata azwajin mina alddani ithnayni wamina almaAAzi ithnayni qul alththakarayni harrama ami alonthayayni amma ishtamalat AAalayhi arhamu alonthayayni nabbioonee biAAilmin in kuntum sadiqeena

Translation:

And We prohibited to those people, who had adopted Judaism, all animals with claws and the fat of oxen and goats except what is on their backs or their entrails or what sticks to their bones; this was the punishment We had inflicted on them for their rebellion. And We are telling the truth.

Translit: WaAAala allatheena hadoo harramna kulla thee thufurin wamina albaqari waalghanami harramna AAalayhim shuhoomahuma illa ma hamalat thuhooruhuma awi alhawaya aw ma ikhtalata biAAathmin thalika jazaynahum bibaghyihim wainna lasadiqoona

Translit: Sayaqoolu allatheena ashrakoo law shaa Allahu ma ashrakna wala abaona wala harramna min shayin kathalika kaththaba allatheena min qablihim hatta thaqoo basana qul hal AAindakum min AAilmin fatukhrijoohu lana in tattabiAAoona illa alththanna wain antum illa takhrusoona

Translation:

Say to them, "Produce your witness who can testify that Allah has forbidden all this." But, even if they testify, you should not bear witness with them. And you should never follow the desires of those, who have treated Our Revelations as false and who do not believe in. the Hereafter and who set up others as equals with their Lord.

Translit: Qul halumma shuhadaakumu allatheena yashhadoona anna Allaha harrama hatha fain shahidoo fala tashhad maAAahum wala tattabiAA ahwaa allatheena kaththaboo biayatina waallatheena la yuminoona bialakhirati wahum birabbihim yaAAdiloona

Translation:

And He has enjoined:(6) that you should not go near the property of an orphan except in the best way, until he reaches his maturity.(7) and you should use a full measure and a just balance. We charge one only with that much responsibility that one can bear, (8) and whatever you say should be just, even if it is concerning your own relatives,(9) and you should fulfill your covenant with Allah. Allah has enjoined these things on you so that you may follow the admonition.

Translit: Wala taqraboo mala alyateemi illa biallatee hiya ahsanu hatta yablugha ashuddahu waawfoo alkayla waalmeezana bialqisti la nukallifu nafsan illa wusAAaha waitha qultum faiAAdiloo walaw kana tha qurba wabiAAahdi Allahi awfoo thalikum wassakum bihi laAAallakum tathakkaroona

Translation:

(10) And Allah also enjoins: "This way alone is My Right Way; therefore you should follow this Way and should not follow other ways lest they should lead you astray from His Way. This is what Allah has enjoined on you so that you may avoid crooked ways.

Translit: Waanna hatha siratee mustaqeeman faittabiAAoohu wala tattabiAAoo alssubula fatafarraqa bikum AAan sabeelihi thalikum wassakum bihi laAAallakum tattaqoona

Translation:

And likewise have We sent down this Book, which is a perfect blessing; so follow this and adopt the God fearing attitude so that mercy may be shown to you.

Translit: Wahatha kitabun anzalnahu mubarakun faittabiAAoohu waittaqoo laAAallakum turhamoona

O people, follow what has been sent down to you from your Lord and do not follow other patrons beside Him. But you seldom take admonition

Then We Ourself will recount to them with Knowledge (all their doings); for We were not absent from them.

Allah said, "Get out from here-despised and disowned. Note it well that I will fill the Hell with you and with all those who will follow you.

Translation:

We summoned Moses to Mount Sinai for thirty nights and days, and We added to them ten, thus the term appointed by his Lord became full forty nights and days. Before leaving, Moses said to his brother Aaron, "After me take my place among my people and do the right, and do not follow the way of the mischief-makers."

Translit: WawaAAadna moosa thalatheena laylatan waatmamnaha biAAashrin fatamma meeqatu rabbihi arbaAAeena laylatan waqala moosa liakheehi haroona okhlufnee fee qawmee waaslih wala tattabiAA sabeela almufsideena

Translation:

(So. now mercy has been assigned to those) who follow this Messenger, the Ummi Prophet whose mention they shall find in the Torah and the Gospel with them. He enjoins them to follow virtue and forbids them from evil: he makes pure things lawful for them and impure things unlawful. He relieves them of their burdens and frees there from the shackles that bound them. For this reason those alone who believe in him and support hire and succor him and follow the light that has been sent down with him, shall attain "success".

Translit: Allatheena yattabiAAoona alrrasoola alnnabiyya alommiyya allathee yajidoonahu maktooban AAindahum fee alttawrati waalinjeeli yamuruhum bialmaAAroofi wayanhahum AAani almunkari wayuhillu lahumu alttayyibati wayuharrimu AAalayhimu alkhabaitha wayadaAAu AAanhum israhum waalaghlala allatee kanat AAalayhim faallatheena amanoo bihi waAAazzaroohu wanasaroohu waittabaAAoo alnnoora allathee onzila maAAahu olaika humu almuflihoona

Translation:

O Muhammad, say, "O mankind, I am a Messenger to all of you from Allah to Whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and tire earth. There is no deity but He. He bestows life and ordains death. So believe in Allah and His Messenger, the Ummi Prophet, who believes in Allah and His Commandments. Follow him: it is expected that you will be guided aright."

Translit: Qul ya ayyuha alnnasu innee rasoolu Allahi ilaykum jameeAAan allathee lahu mulku alssamawati waalardi la ilaha illa huwa yuhyee wayumeetu faaminoo biAllahi warasoolihi alnnabiyyi alommiyyi allathee yuminu biAllahi wakalimatihi waittabiAAoohu laAAallakum tahtadoona

Translation:

And We had divided them into twelve clams and made them distinct Communities. When his people asked him tar water. We inspired Moses to strike a certain rack with his staff. Consequently, twelve springs gushed forth from it and each community specified its drinking place: We caused the cloud to cast shadow over them, and We sent down manna and salva for their food. saying. "Eat of the clean and pure things We have provided for you." However, by doing what they did afterwards, they did no wrong to Us but they wronged themselves.

Translit: WaqattaAAnahumu ithnatay AAashrata asbatan omaman waawhayna ila moosa ithi istasqahu qawmuhu ani idrib biAAasaka alhajara fainbajasat minhu ithnata AAashrata AAaynan qad AAalima kullu onasin mashrabahum wathallalna AAalayhimu alghamama waanzalna AAalayhimu almanna waalssalwa kuloo min tayyibati ma razaqnakum wama thalamoona walakin kanoo anfusahum yathlimoona

Translation:

However, when they totally forgot the teachings they were reminded of, We saved those who used to forbid evil, and seized with a severe scourge all others who were transgressors, because of the acts of disobedience they did.

Translit: Falamma nasoo ma thukkiroo bihi anjayna allatheena yanhawna AAani alssooi waakhathna allatheena thalamoo biAAathabin baeesin bima kanoo yafsuqoona

Translation:

If you invite them to follow the Right Way, they will not follow you; it will be all the same for you whether you call them or keep silent.

Translit: Wain tadAAoohum ila alhuda la yattabiAAookum sawaon AAalaykum adaAAawtumoohum am antum samitoona

Translation:

O Prophet, when you do not show them a Sign (miracle), they say, "Why have you not chosen a sign for yourself?" Tell them "I follow only the Revelation, which my Lord has sent down to me: this contains lights of insight from your Lord, and is guidance and mercy for those who believe in this.

Translit: Waitha lam tatihim biayatin qaloo lawla ijtabaytaha qul innama attabiAAu ma yooha ilayya min rabbee hatha basairu min rabbikum wahudan warahmatun liqawmin yuminoona

Translation:

And recall also to mind the thing they said, "If it is the Truth and has been sent down by Thee, rain down stones on us from the heavens or send down any other painful torment on us."

Translit: Waith qaloo allahumma in kana hatha huwa alhaqqa min AAindika faamtir AAalayna hijaratan mina alssamai awi itina biAAathabin aleemin

Translation:

This is a public proclamation from Allah and His Messenger for all the people on the Day of Great Haj: Allah is free from the treaty obligations made with the mushriks and so is His Messenger. If, therefore, you repent now, it is better for you but if you turn away, you should know it well that you cannot frustrate (the Will of) Allah. And, O Prophet, give the good news of a painful chastisement to the rejecters

Translit: Waathanun mina Allahi warasoolihi ila alnnasi yawma alhajji alakbari anna Allaha bareeon mina almushrikeena warasooluhu fain tubtum fahuwa khayrun lakum wain tawallaytum faiAAlamoo annakum ghayru muAAjizee Allahi wabashshiri allatheena kafaroo biAAathabin aleemin

Translation:

O Believers, indeed most of the scholars and monks of the people of the Book devour the wealth of others by evil means, and debar them from the Way of Allah. Give them the good news of a painful torment, who hoard up gold and silver and expend not these in the Way of Allah.

Translit: Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo inna katheeran mina alahbari waalrruhbani layakuloona amwala alnnasi bialbatili wayasuddoona AAan sabeeli Allahi waallatheena yaknizoona alththahaba waalfiddata wala yunfiqoonaha fee sabeeli Allahi fabashshirhum biAAathabin aleemin

Translation:

If they had really intended to march forth, they would surely have made some preparation for it. But Allah was averse to their going forth; and He caused them to hold back, and it was said to them, "Stay behind with those who stay behind."

Translit: Walaw aradoo alkhurooja laaAAaddoo lahu AAuddatan walakin kariha Allahu inbiAAathahum fathabbatahum waqeela oqAAudoo maAAa alqaAAideena

Translation:

Say to them, "What can be the thing you await for us other than one of the two .best things? But what we await for you is whether Allah Himself inflicts His chastisement on you or at our hands; well, now await, and we, too await with you."

Translit: Qul hal tarabbasoona bina illa ihda alhusnayayni wanahnu natarabbasu bikum an yuseebakumu Allahu biAAathabin min AAindihi aw biaydeena fatarabbasoo inna maAAakum mutarabbisoona

Those people chose to stay with those who had remained behind and a seal was set upon their hearts: therefore they do not understand anything now.

Translit: Radoo bian yakoonoo maAAa alkhawalifi watubiAAa AAala quloobihim fahum la yafqahoona

Translation:

Indeed Allah has bought from the Believers their persons and their possessions in return for the Gardens;106 they fight in the Way of Allah, kill and are killed. This promise (of the Gardens) is the true pledge of Allah made in the Torah, the Gospel, and the Quran, and who is more true in fulfilling his promise than Allah? So rejoice in the bargain you have made with Him; and this is the greatest success.

Translit: Inna Allaha ishtara mina almumineena anfusahum waamwalahum bianna lahumu aljannata yuqatiloona fee sabeeli Allahi fayaqtuloona wayuqtaloona waAAdan AAalayhi haqqan fee alttawrati waalinjeeli waalqurani waman awfa biAAahdihi mina Allahi faistabshiroo bibayAAikumu allathee bayaAAtum bihi wathalika huwa alfawzu alAAatheemu

Translation:

When Our clear revelations are recited to them, those who do not expect to meet Us say, "Bring another Quran in its stead or make some amendment in it." O Muhammad, say to them, "It is not for me to make any alteration in it of my own accord. I follow only what is revealed to me. Indeed, if I disobey my Lord, I fear the chastisement of a dreadful Day."

Translit: Waitha tutla AAalayhim ayatuna bayyinatin qala allatheena la yarjoona liqaana iti biquranin ghayri hatha aw baddilhu qul ma yakoonu lee an obaddilahu min tilqai nafsee in attabiAAu illa ma yooha ilayya innee akhafu in AAasaytu rabbee AAathaba yawmin AAatheemin

Translation:

The fact is that most of them are following mere conjecture, as whereas conjecture cannot in any way fulfill the requirements of the true knowledge. Allah has full knowledge of what they are doing.

Translit: Wama yattabiAAu aktharuhum illa thannan inna alththanna la yughnee mina alhaqqi shayan inna Allaha AAaleemun bima yafAAaloona

Translation:

The fact is that they have denied (on mere conjecture) what was not within the reach of their knowledge nor had they, as yet, tasted its consequences. Likewise, the people who went before them declared as false the Revelations, but behold, what was the end of those unjust people!

Translit: Bal kaththaboo bima lam yuheetoo biAAilmihi walamma yatihim taweeluhu kathalika kaththaba allatheena min qablihim faonthur kayfa kana AAaqibatu alththalimeena

Translation:

Note it well that all the dwellers of the heavens and of the earth belong to Allah: and those who invoke, besides Allah, partners (they have set up with Him) follow nothing but surmises and merely indulge in guess-works.

Translit: Ala inna lillahi man fee alssamawati waman fee alardi wama yattabiAAu allatheena yadAAoona min dooni Allahi shurakaa in yattabiAAoona illa alththanna wain hum illa yakhrusoona

Allah replied, "The prayer of you both has been granted; so be steadfast and follow not the way of those who have no knowledge.

Translit: Qala qad ojeebat daAAwatukuma faistaqeema wala tattabiAAanni sabeela allatheena la yaAAlamoona

And, O Prophet, go on following the Guidance that has been revealed to you; persevere steadfastly till Allah passes His judgment, for He is the best of judges.

Do they say, "He has invented the Book himself?" Say to them "Very well, if it is so, bing ten fabricated Surahs like this:

Translit: Am yaqooloona iftarahu qul fatoo biAAashri suwarin mithlihi muftarayatin waodAAoo mani istataAAtum min dooni Allahi in kuntum sadiqeena

Translation:

and you may has been revealed with Allahs knowledge and that there is no true deity other than Allah. Do you then surrender to this (which is the very Truth)?

Translit: Fai llam yastajeeboo lakum faiAAlamoo annama onzila biAAilmi Allahi waan la ilaha illa huwa fahal antum muslimoona

Translation:

but start to build an Ark under Our supervision in accordance with Our Revelation. And beware that you do not plead with Me for those who had been unjust: indeed now they shall all be drowned."

Translit: WaisnaAAi alfulka biaAAyunina wawahyina wala tukhatibnee fee allatheena thalamoo innahum mughraqoona

so they became accursed in this world and in the Next World as well. Listen! `Ad disbelieved in their Lord! Listen! Cast away were Ad the people of Hud!

Translit: WaotbiAAoo fee hathihi alddunya laAAnatan wayawma alqiyamati ala inna AAadan kafaroo rabbahum ala buAAdan liAAadin qawmi hoodin

Translation:

And lo, Our Messengers came to Abraham with good news. They said, "Peace be upon you." Abraham answered, "Peace be also upon you." And before long he brought a roasted calf for them.

Translit: Walaqad jaat rusuluna ibraheema bialbushra qaloo salaman qala salamun fama labitha an jaa biAAijlin haneethin

They answered "O Shu`aib! We do not understand much of what you say. Indeed we see that you are a powerless man among us. Had it not been for your family, we would have stoned you to death long before this, for you are not strong enough to prevail over us."

Translit: Qaloo ya shuAAaybu ma nafqahu katheeran mimma taqoolu wainna lanaraka feena daAAeefan walawla rahtuka larajamnaka wama anta AAalayna biAAazeezin

Curse has fallen on them in this world and shall also fall on them on the Day of Resurrection. What an evil reward for one to receive!

They answered, "These are the result of confused nightmares and we do not understand their meaning."

Translit: Qaloo adghathu ahlamin wama nahnu bitaweeli alahlami biAAalimeena

they fulfill their Covenant with Allah, and break it not after confirming it.

Translit: Allatheena yoofoona biAAahdi Allahi wala yanqudoona almeethaqa

And that is not at all a difficult thing for Allah.

Translit: Wama thalika AAala Allahi biAAazeezin

Translation:

Lord! these have turned away many people from the Right Way (and they might turn away my descendants as well. Therefore, only those of them) who follow my way, belong to me, but (I leave to Thee) those who follow a different way from mine, for Thou art very Forgiving and Merciful.

Translit: Rabbi innahunna adlalna katheeran mina alnnasi faman tabiAAanee fainnahu minnee waman AAasanee fainnaka ghafoorun raheemun

O Muhammad, fore-warn them of the Day when Our scourge will overtake them: then these wrong-doers will say, "Our Lord! give us a little more respite: we will respond to Thy Message and follow the Messengers." (But it will be said to them decisively,) "Are you not the same people who swore before this that you will never meet with a decline,

Translit: Waanthiri alnnasa yawma yateehimu alAAathabu fayaqoolu allatheena thalamoo rabbana akhkhirna ila ajalin qareebin nujib daAAwataka wanattabiAAi alrrusula awalam takoonoo aqsamtum min qablu ma lakum min zawalin

You should, therefore, depart with your people in the last hours of the night and you yourself should follow them in their rear; let none of you turn round to look behind; go straight where you are being bidden."

Translit: Faasri biahlika biqitAAin mina allayli waittabiAA adbarahum wala yaltafit minkum ahadun waimdoo haythu tumaroona

Translation:

Fulfill your covenant with Allah when you have made a Covenant with Him, and do not break your oaths after they have been confirmed and you have made Allah your witness. Allah is fully aware of all your actions.

Translit: Waawfoo biAAahdi Allahi itha AAahadtum wala tanqudoo alaymana baAAda tawkeediha waqad jaAAaltumu Allaha AAalaykum kafeelan inna Allaha yaAAlamu ma tafAAaloona

Do not barter away the Covenant of Allah for paltry gains: Indeed what is with Allah is far better for you if you knew it.

Translit: Wala tashtaroo biAAahdi Allahi thamanan qaleelan innama AAinda Allahi huwa khayrun lakum in kuntum taAAlamoona

Translation:

Then We sent down this Revelation to you: "Follow the way of Abraham exclusively" and he was not one of the mushriks.

Translit: Thumma awhayna ilayka ani ittabiAA millata ibraheema haneefan wama kana mina almushrikeena

Translation:

Glory be to Him, Who transported His Servant one night from the Masjid-i-Haram to the distant Temple, whose surroundings We have blessed, so that we might show him some of Our Sings:1 the fact is that He alone is All-Hearing and All-Seeing.

Translit: Subhana allathee asra biAAabdihi laylan mina almasjidi alharami ila almasjidi alaqsa allathee barakna hawlahu linuriyahu min ayatina innahu huwa alssameeAAu albaseeru

Your Lord provides plentifully to whom He wills and withholds His provisions from anyone He pleases, for He is fully aware of the condition of His servants and observes them closely.

Translit: Inna rabbaka yabsutu alrrizqa liman yashao wayaqdiru innahu kana biAAibadihi khabeeran baseeran

Translation:

We know best what they really wish to hear, when they listen to you, and also what they say, when they sit together in secret conversation. These wrongdoers say to one another, "The man you are following is really bewitched"

Translit: Nahnu aAAlamu bima yastamiAAoona bihi ith yastamiAAoona ilayka waith hum najwa ith yaqoolu alththalimoona in tattabiAAoona illa rajulan mashooran

Allah replied, "Well, get away. Hell is your ample reward and the reward of those who follow you.

Translit: Qala ithhab faman tabiAAaka minhum fainna jahannama jazaokum jazaan mawfooran

O Muhammad, say to them, "Allah suffices for a witness to judge between you and me: for He is fully aware of and is observing what His servants are doing."

Translit: Qul kafa biAllahi shaheedan baynee wabaynakum innahu kana biAAibadihi khabeeran baseeran

Translation:

Some people will say, "They were three and the fourth was their dog,â€ and some others will say, "They were five and the sixth was their dog.â€ These are mere irrelevant guesses. There are still others who say, "They were seven and the eighth was their dog.â€ Say, "My Lord alone knows best how many they were." "There are a few people only who know their correct number: so you should not enter into discussions with them about their number except in a cursory way: nor ask anyone about them

Translit: Sayaqooloona thalathatun rabiAAuhum kalbuhum wayaqooloona khamsatun sadisuhum kalbuhum rajman bialghaybi wayaqooloona sabAAatun wathaminuhum kalbuhum qul rabbee aAAlamu biAAiddatihim ma yaAAlamuhum illa qaleelun fala tumari feehim illa miraan thahiran wala tastafti feehim minhum ahadan

Translit: Qala lahu moosa hal attabiAAuka AAala an tuAAallimani mimma AAullimta rushdan

O Muhammad say to them, "I am a human being like you: it has been revealed to me that your Deity is only One Allah. Therefore the one who expects to meet his Lord, should not associate with Him any other deity in His worship.â€

Translit: Qul innama ana basharun mithlukum yooha ilayya annama ilahukum ilahun wahidun faman kana yarjoo liqaa rabbihi falyaAAmal AAamalan salihan wala yushrik biAAibadati rabbihi ahadan

Dear father! I have received that knowledge which you have not got; so you should follow me and I will guide you on the Right Way.

Translit: Ya abati innee qad jaanee mina alAAilmi ma lam yatika faittabiAAnee ahdika siratan sawiyyan

But they will have no supporter; all of them will not only disown their worship but also become their opponents.

Translit: Kalla sayakfuroona biAAibadatihim wayakoonoona AAalayhim diddan

Translation:

(On the very occasion) Moses warned (his adversaries), saying, "O unfortunate people, do not invent falsehoods in regard to Allah: otherwise He will destroy you by a scourge: for whoso invented a falsehood, perished."

Translit: Qala lahum moosa waylakum la taftaroo AAala Allahi kathiban fayushitakum biAAathabin waqad khaba mani iftara

Translation:

We sent this Revelation to Moses: "Set forth with My servants during the night and make for them a dry path across the sea. Have no fear of being overtaken nor be afraid (while passing through the sea)."

Translit: Walaqad awhayna ila moosa an asri biAAibadee faidrib lahum tareeqan fee albahri yabasan la takhafu darakan wala takhsha

Aaron had already warned the people, saying, "O people, you have been involved in mischief by this (calf) In fact, your Lord is Rahman, so follow me and submit to me."

Translit: Walaqad qala lahum haroonu min qablu ya qawmi innama futintum bihi wainna rabbakumu alrrahmanu faittabiAAoonee waateeAAoo amree

What, did you disobey my command?"

Translit: Alla tattabiAAani afaAAasayta amree

Translation:

On that Day the people will come straight to the call of the summoner; no one will dare show any haughtiness, and all the voices will be hushed before the Merciful and you will hear nothing but a whispering murmur.

Translit: Yawmaithin yattabiAAoona alddaAAiya la AAiwaja lahu wakhashaAAati alaswatu lilrrahmani fala tasmaAAu illa hamsan

Translation:

Had We destroyed them with a scourge before its coming, these very people would have said, "Our Lord, why did you not send a Messenger to us so that we would have followed Your Revelations before we were humiliated and disgraced?"

Translit: Walaw anna ahlaknahum biAAathabin min qablihi laqaloo rabbana lawla arsalta ilayna rasoolan fanattabiAAa ayatika min qabli an nathilla wanakhza

There are some among the people, who indulge in discussions about Allah without any knowledge and follow every rebellious Satan,

Translit: Wamina alnnasi man yujadilu fee Allahi bighayri AAilmin wayattabiAAu kulla shaytanin mareedin

Translation:

At this, We revealed to him: Build an ark under Our supervision, according to Our instructions. Then, when Our Command comes and "at-Tannur" begins to boil up, take aboard a pair of every species of animals, and also the members of your own family except those against whom the judgment has already been passed; and do not plead with Me for the workers of iniquity, for they are doomed to be drowned.

Translit: Faawhayna ilayhi ani isnaAAi alfulka biaAAyunina wawahyina faitha jaa amruna wafara alttannooru faosluk feeha min kullin zawjayni ithnayni waahlaka illa man sabaqa AAalayhi alqawlu minhum wala tukhatibnee fee allatheena thalamoo innahum mughraqoona

Translation:

O Believers, do not follow in Satan's footsteps, for he will incite to indecency and wickedness any who will follow him. If Allah had not shown His Brace and mercy to you, none of you would have been able to cleanse yourself, for it is Allah alone Who cleanses whom He wills, and Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

Translit: Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la tattabiAAoo khutuwati alshshaytani waman yattabiAA khutuwati alshshaytani fainnahu yamuru bialfahshai waalmunkari walawla fadlu Allahi AAalaykum warahmatuhu ma zaka minkum min ahadin abadan walakinna Allaha yuzakkee man yashao waAllahu sameeAAun AAaleemun

Translation:

O Prophet, enjoin the Believing men to restrain their gaze and guard their private parts. and not to display their adornment except that which is displayed of itself, and to draw their veils over their bosoms and not to display their adornment except before their husbands, their fathers, the fathers of their husbands, their sons and the sons of their husbands (from other wives), their brothers, their brothers' sons, their sisters' sons, their female associates and those in their possession and male attendants incapable of sex desire and those boys who have not yet attained knowledge of sex matters concerning women; also forbid them to stamp their feet on the ground lest their hidden ornaments should be displayed. O Believers, turn all together towards Allah: it is expected that you will attain true success.

Translit: Waqul lilmuminati yaghdudna min absarihinna wayahfathna furoojahunna wala yubdeena zeenatahunna illa ma thahara minha walyadribna bikhumurihinna AAala juyoobihinna wala yubdeena zeenatahunna illa libuAAoolatihinna aw abaihinna aw abai buAAoolatihinna aw abnaihinna aw abnai buAAoolatihinna aw ikhwanihinna aw banee ikhwanihinna aw banee akhawatihinna aw nisaihinna aw ma malakat aymanuhunna awi alttabiAAeena ghayri olee alirbati mina alrrijali awi alttifli allatheena lam yathharoo AAala AAawrati al

Translation:

Or why has not at least a treasure been sent down for him or a garden given to him for (easy) sustenance?" And the wicked people say, "You are following a man bewitched."

Translit: Aw yulqa ilayhi kanzun aw takoonu lahu jannatun yakulu minha waqala alththalimoona in tattabiAAoona illa rajulan mashooran

We may perhaps still follow the magicians way if they are dominant."

They forthwith cast down their cords and staffs and said. "By Pharaoh' honor, we shall surely win"

We inspired Moses with this: "Set off with My servants by night, for you will be pursued."

We inspired Moses with the Command: "Smite the sea with your staff." The sea parted forthwith and its each part stood like a mighty mountain.

Translit: Faawhayna ila moosa ani idrib biAAasaka albahra fainfalaqa fakana kullu firqin kaalttawdi alAAatheemi

Are these people clamoring for Our torment to be hastened?

As for the poets, they have the erring people to follow them.

To his courtiers Solomon said, "Which of you can fetch me her throne before those people come to me in submission?"

Translit: Qala ya ayyuha almalao ayyukum yateenee biAAarshiha qabla an yatoonee muslimeena

(This We have done) lest, when a calamity befalls them in consequence of their own misdeeds, 'they should say, "Our Lord, had You sent a messenger to us, we would have obeyed Your Revelations and been among the believers."

Translit: Walawla an tuseebahum museebatun bima qaddamat aydeehim fayaqooloo rabbana lawla arsalta ilayna rasoolan fanattabiAAa ayatika wanakoona mina almumineena

(O Prophet,) say to them, "Well, bring a book from Allah, which may give better guidance than these two, if you are truthful I shall follow the same."

Translit: Qul fatoo bikitabin min AAindi Allahi huwa ahda minhuma attabiAAhu in kuntum sadiqeena

Translation:

Now, if they do not meet this demand of yours, you should know that they are, in fact, the followers of their own lusts. And who could go farther astray than the one who follows his own lusts, without guidance from Allah ? Allah does not at all guide such wicked people.

Translit: Fain lam yastajeeboo laka faiAAlam annama yattabiAAoona ahwaahum waman adallu mimmani ittabaAAa hawahu bighayri hudan mina Allahi inna Allaha la yahdee alqawma alththalimeena

Translation:

Is it not a fact that We have made a safe Sanctuary a dwelling place for them, to which fruits of every kind are drawn, as a provision from Ourself? But most of them do not know this.

Translit: Waqaloo in nattabiAAi alhuda maAAaka nutakhattaf min ardina awalam numakkin lahum haraman aminan yujba ilayhi thamaratu kulli shayin rizqan min ladunna walakinna aktharahum la yaAAlamoona

Translation:

There is among the people such a one, who says, "We have believed in Allah", but when he was persecuted in the cause of Allah, he deemed the persecution by the people as the punishment of Allah. Now if there comes help and victory from your Lord, the same person Will say, "We were with you". Is not Allah fully aware of what is in the hearts of the people of the world?

Translit: Wamina alnnasi man yaqoolu amanna biAllahi faitha oothiya fee Allahi jaAAala fitnata alnnasi kaAAathabi Allahi walain jaa nasrun min rabbika layaqoolunna inna kunna maAAakum awalaysa Allahu biaAAlama bima fee sudoori alAAalameena

Translation:

The disbelievers say to the believers, "Follow our way and we will bear (the burden of) your sins", whereas they will not bear (the burden of) your sins. They are utter liars.

Translit: Waqala allatheena kafaroo lillatheena amanoo ittabiAAoo sabeelana walnahmil khatayakum wama hum bihamileena min khatayahum min shayin innahum lakathiboona

What! Do you go to the males, and commit robbery and indulge in indecencies in your assemblies?" Then the only answer his people gave was to say, "Bring forth the torment of Allah if you are truthful."

When Our Revelations are recited to huh, he turns his face away disdainfully as though he did not hear theta, as though his ears were deaf. Well, give him the good news of a painful torment.

But if they press you to join with Me another about whom you have no knowledge, do not obey them at all. Treat them kindly in the world, but follow the way of him who has turned to Me. Then to Me will all of you return; then I shall tell you what you had been doing.

And when it is said to them, "Follow what Allah has sent down," they say, "We shall only follow that upon which we found our forefathers." What! Will they still be following them even if Satan had been calling them to the raging Fire?

Follow that which you are being inspired with from your Lord: Allah is aware of whatever you do.

when a party of them said, "O people of Yathrib, you have no chance to stay, so go back," when a section of them sought leave of the Prophet, saying, "Our homes are insecure," whereas they were not insecure. in fact, they wished to flee (the battle front).

Translit: Waith qalat taifatun minhum ya ahla yathriba la muqama lakum fairjiAAoo wayastathinu fareequn minhumu alnnabiyya yaqooloona inna buyootana AAawratun wama hiya biAAawratin in yureedoona illa firaran

Translation:

Allah created you from dust, then from the sperm-drop, then made you pairs (i.e., male and female). No woman conceives or is delivered but it is in the knowledge of Allah. No aging person grows old nor is anything reduced of his age except in accordance with a Book this is an easy thing for Allah.

Translit: WaAllahu khalaqakum min turabin thumma min nutfatin thumma jaAAalakum azwajan wama tahmilu min ontha wala tadaAAu illa biAAilmihi wama yuAAammaru min muAAammarin wala yunqasu min AAumurihi illa fee kitabin inna thalika AAala Allahi yaseerun

this is not at all difficult for Allah.

(O Prophet,) the Book that We have sent to you by revelation is the very Truth, which confirms the previous Scriptures. Allah is indeed well aware of His servants, and watchful over everything.

Translit: Waallathee awhayna ilayka mina alkitabi huwa alhaqqu musaddiqan lima bayna yadayhi inna Allaha biAAibadihi lakhabeerun baseerun

If Allah were to seize the people for their misdeeds, He would not have left alive any living being on the earth. But He is giving them respite till an appointed time. So, when the appointed time comes, Allah will Himself see His servants.

Translit: Walaw yuakhithu Allahu alnnasa bima kasaboo ma taraka AAala thahriha min dabbatin walakin yuakhkhiruhum ila ajalin musamman faitha jaa ajaluhum fainna Allaha kana biAAibadihi baseeran

In the meantime a man came running from the remote part of the city, and he said, "O my people, follow the Messengers:

Translit: Wajaa min aqsa almadeenati rajulun yasAAa qala ya qawmi ittabiAAoo almursaleena

(We said:) "O David, We have made you vicegerent in the earth, so rule among the people with justice and do not follow your lust, for it will lead you astray from Allah's Way." For those who go astray from Allah's Way, there is a severe punishment because they forgot the Day of Reckoning."

Translit: Ya dawoodu inna jaAAalnaka khaleefatan fee alardi faohkum bayna alnnasi bialhaqqi wala tattabiAAi alhawa fayudillaka AAan sabeeli Allahi inna allatheena yadilloona AAan sabeeli Allahi lahum AAathabun shadeedun bima nasoo yawma alhisabi

He said, "By Thy Honor! I shall certainly lead them astray

Translit: Qala fabiAAizzatika laoghwiyannahum ajmaAAeena

that I shall fill Hell with you and with all those who follow you from among mankind."

who listen to the word carefully and follow what is best in it. These are they whom Allah has shown guidance and these are the ones who possess understanding.

and there is none to misguide him whom He guides aright. Is not Allah Mighty and capable of revenge?

And follow the best aspect of the Book sent down by your Lord, before the scourge comes down upon you suddenly while you are unaware,

The man who had believed, said, "O my people! Follow me: I shall show you the right way.

To Allah is remitted the knowledge of the Hour. He alone knows all the fruits that come out from their sheaths: He alone knows which female has conceived and which has given birth. Then on the Day when He will call out to the people, asking, "Where are those associates of Mine"? they will say, "We have submitted: there is none of us to bear witness to that."

Translit: Ilayhi yuraddu AAilmu alssaAAati wama takhruju min thamaratin min akmamiha wama tahmilu min ontha wala tadaAAu illa biAAilmihi wayawma yunadeehim ayna shurakaee qaloo athannaka ma minna min shaheedin

Because of this, therefore, O Muhammad, you should call them to the same Way, and hold fast to it yourself as you have been commanded, and do not follow their whims. Say to them, "I have believed in whatever Book Allah has sent down, and I have been commanded to do justice between you. Allah is our Lord as well as your Lord. For us are our deeds and for you your deeds. There is no dispute between us. Allah shall gather us all together one day and to Him we shall all return."

Translit: Falithalika faodAAu waistaqim kama omirta wala tattabiAA ahwaahum waqul amantu bima anzala Allahu min kitabin waomirtu liaAAdila baynakum Allahu rabbuna warabbukum lana aAAmaluna walakum aAAmalukum la hujjata baynana wabaynakumu Allahu yajmaAAu baynana wailayhi almaseeru

Translit: Allahu lateefun biAAibadihi yarzuqu man yashao wahuwa alqawiyyu alAAazeezu

If Allah had given His provisions abundantly to all His servants, they would have rebelled in the earth, but He sends down in due measure what He wills. He is well informed of His servants and watches over them.

Translit: Walaw basata Allahu alrrizqa liAAibadihi labaghaw fee alardi walakin yunazzilu biqadarin ma yashao innahu biAAibadihi khabeerun baseerun

And he is, in fact, a Sign of the Hour; therefore, do not have any doubt about it, and follow Me: this is the Straight Way.

(The reply came:) "Set forth with My servants by night for you will be pursued.

After this We have set you,O Prophet, upon a clear highway (of the Shari `ah) concerning religion. So follow it, and do not follow the lusts of those who have no knowledge.

And when all mankind shall be gathered together, they will become enemies of those who invoked them and will disown their worship.

Say to them, "I am not a novel Messenger, I do not know what shall befall you tomorrow nor what shall befall me. I only follow that which is revealed to me, and I am no more than a warner."

Translation:

When you set out to take the spoils, those who were left behind, will surely say to you, "Allow us too to go with you." They wish to change Allah"s decree. Tell them plainly, "You shall not come with us. Allah has already said this before." They will say, "Nay, but you are jealous of us." (Whereas there is no question of jealousy), but they little understand the truth.

Translit: Sayaqoolu almukhallafoona itha intalaqtum ila maghanima litakhuthooha tharoona nattabiAAkum yureedoona an yubaddiloo kalama Allahi qul lan tattabiAAoona kathalikum qala Allahu min qablu fasayaqooloona bal tahsudoonana bal kanoo la yafqahoona illa qaleelan

Then he went quietly to his family and brought out a fatted (roasted) calf

Translit: Faragha ila ahlihi fajaa biAAijlin sameenin

Endure patiently, O Prophet, until your Lord's judgment comes to pass sight. Glorify your Lord with His praise when you rise up,

Translation:

These are nothing but mere names which you and your forefathers have invented. Allah has sent down no authority for them. The fact is that the people are following mere conjecture and the lusts of their souls, even though right guidance has come to them from their Lord.

Translit: In hiya illa asmaon sammaytumooha antum waabaokum ma anzala Allahu biha min sultanin in yattabiAAoona illa alththanna wama tahwa alanfusu walaqad jaahum min rabbihimu alhuda

although they have no knowledge of this. They follow mere conjecture, and conjecture can avail nothing against the Truth.

which floated under Our care. This was a vengeance for the sake of him who had been slighted.

and said, "A solitary man he is from among ourselves. Shall we now follow him? If we did so, we should indeed be gone astray and have committed folly.

Translit: Faqaloo abasharan minna wahidan nattabiAAuhu inna ithan lafee dalalin wasuAAurin

Translation:

After them We sent Our Messengers, one after the other and followed them with Jesus son of Mary and gave him the Gospel, and We put in the hearts of those who followed him, compassion and mercy, but monasticism they themselves invented. We did not prescribe it for them. They invented it themselves in order to seek Allah's good will. But then they did not observe it as it should have been observed. We gave those of them who had believed their rewards, but most of them are transgressors.

Translit: Thumma qaffayna AAala atharihim birusulina waqaffayna biAAeesa ibni maryama waataynahu alinjeela wajaAAalna fee quloobi allatheena ittabaAAoohu rafatan warahmatan warahbaniyyatan ibtadaAAooha ma katabnaha AAalayhim illa ibtighaa ridwani Allahi fama raAAawha haqqa riAAayatiha faatayna allatheena amanoo minhum ajrahum wakatheerun minhum fasiqoona

Translation:

And the one who does not find a slave, should fast two successive months before the two touch each other. And the one who is unable to do even this, should feed sixty needy ones. This is being enjoined so that you may believe in Allah and His Messenger. These are the bounds set by Allah and for the disbelievers there is a painful punishment.

Translit: Faman lam yajid fasiyamu shahrayni mutatabiAAayni min qabli an yatamassa faman lam yastatiAA faitAAamu sitteena miskeenan thalika lituminoo biAllahi warasoolihi watilka hudoodu Allahi walilkafireena AAathabun aleemun

Translation:

Are you not aware that Allah has the knowledge of everything in the heavens and the earth? It cannot be that three men whisper together and Allah is not the fourth of them or five men whisper together and Allah is not the sixth of than. Whether they are fewer than this or more, Allah is with them wherever they are. Then, on the Day of Resurrection, He will tell them what they have done. Allah has the knowledge of everything.

Translit: Alam tara anna Allaha yaAAlamu ma fee alssamawati wama fee alardi ma yakoonu min najwa thalathatin illa huwa rabiAAuhum wala khamsatin illa huwa sadisuhum wala adna min thalika wala akthara illa huwa maAAahum ayna ma kanoo thumma yunabbiohum bima AAamiloo yawma alqiyamati inna Allaha bikulli shayin AAaleemun

Translation:

O you who have believed, when the believing women come to you as emigrants, examine and test (their faith), although Allah only knows best the truth of their faith. Then, when you find them to be true believers, do not return them to the disbelievers. Neither are they lawful for the disbelievers nor are the disbelievers lawful for them. Return to their disbelieving husbands the dowers that they had given them; and there is no blame on you if you marry them when you have paid them their dowers. And you also should not hold back unbelieving women in marriage. Ask for the dowers that you had given to your unbelieving wives, and let the disbelievers ask for the dowers that they had given to their Muslim wives. This is Allah's command: He judges between you, and He is All-Knowing, All-Wise.

Translit: Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo itha jaakumu almuminatu muhajiratin faimtahinoohunna Allahu aAAlamu bieemanihinna fain AAalimtumoohunna muminatin fala tarjiAAoohunna ila alkuffari la hunna hillun lahum wala hum yahilloona lahunna waatoohum ma anfaqoo wala junaha AAalaykum an tankihoohunna itha ataytumoohunna ojoorahunna wala tumsikoo biAAisami alkawafiri waisaloo ma anfaqtum walyasaloo ma anfaqoo thalikum hukmu Allahi yahkumu baynakum waAllahu AAaleemun hakeemun

This is because they believed and then they disbelieved. Therefore, a seal has been set on their hearts, and so they do not understand anything.
