Al-Maidah | 5:45|
|We had prescribed this decree in the Torah for the Jews: "Life for life, eye for eye, nose for nose, ear for ear, tooth for tooth, and for all wounds equal retaliation." However, whoever forgoes retaliation as charity, it shall be expiation for him: those, who do not judge by the Law which Allah has sent down, are indeed the unjust people.

Al-Anaam | 6:151|
|O Muhammad, say to them, "Come, I will recite what limits your Lord has set for you."127 (He has enjoined:) (1) That you should not set up anything as a partner with Him,128 (2) and you should treat your parents kindly,129 (3) and you should not kill your children for fear of poverty, for We provide sustenance for you and will provide sustenance for them also, (4) and you should not go near indecent things130 whether they be open or hidden, (5) and you should not kill any living being whom Allah has forbidden to kill except by right.131 These are the things which He has enjoined on you: it may be that you use your common sense.

Yusuf | 12:53|
|Yet I am not holding my soul to be immune from sin, for the soul incites to evil, except of the one on whom my Lord shows mercy. Indeed my Lord is Forgiving and Merciful."

|9. Do not kill any soul whose killing has been forbidden by Allah33 except by right: and if one is killed unjustly We have granted the right of retribution to his guardian.35 So he should not transgress the limits in retaliation, for he shall be helped.

|who do not invoke any god but Allah nor kill a soul, which Allah has forbidden, unjustly, nor commit adultery. He who does this shall be punished for his sin,
