|Why did they not then humble themselves when Our scourge overtook them? Instead of this, their hearts were hardened all the more and Satan made, what they were doing, seem fair to them.

|There leave been many habitations which We destroyed. Our scourge came upon them all of a sudden at night or at a time during the day where they were taking rest.

|When Our scourge overtook them, the only cry they could utter was "Indeed we were transgressors!"

|Do the people of the habitations now feel secure. that Our punishment will not come to them all of a sudden at night, while they might be fast asleep?
