In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi

Full of blessings is He in Whose hand is the Kingdom of the Universe, and He has power over everything.

Tabaraka allathee biyadihi almulku wahuwa AAala kulli shayin qadeerun

Who created death and life that He may try you to see which of you is best in deeds, and He is All-Mighty as well as All-Forgiving.

(a)lladhiy khalaqa (a)l.maw.ta wa(a)l.HayaEw(t)a liyab.luwakum. _ayyukum. _aH.sanu `amal(an)A[j] wa huwa (a)l.`aziyzu (a)l.ghafuwru

Who created seven heavens, one above the other. You will not see any fault in the creation of the Merciful. Turn up your eyes: do you see any flaw anywhere?

(a)lladhiy khalaqa sabAAa samawatin. tibaqan. ma tara fee khalqi alrrahmani min. tafawutin. fairjiAAi albasara hal. tara min. futoorin

Look up again and yet again: your look will return to you, disappointed, wearied.

thumma _ir.ji`i (a)l.baSara karratay.ni yan.qalib. _ilay.ka (a)l.baSaru khaAsiYe(an)A wa huwa Hasiyr(un)

And indeed We have adorned the nearest heaven with magnificent lamps and made them a means of driving away Satans. For these satans We have prepared a blazing Fire.

walaqad. zayyannaA (a)lssamaA~?a (a)lddunyaA bimaSaEbiyHa waja`al.naEhaA rujuwm(an)A lli(a)shshayaETiyni[sly] wa_a`.tad.naA lahum. `adhaAba (a)lssa`iyri

For those who disbelieve in their Lord, there is the torment of Hell, and it is an evil abode.

walilladhiyna kafaruwA[0] birabbihim. `adhaAbu jahannama wabiYe.sa (a)l.maSiyru

When they are flung into it, they will hear its roaring, and it will be boiling up,

Itha olqoo feeha samiAAoo laha shaheeqan. wahiya tafooru

as though bursting with rage. Every time a crowd is cast into it, its keepers will ask them, "Did not a warner come to you?"

takaAdu tamayyazu mina (a)lghay.Zi[sly] kullaAmaA~ _ulqiya fiyhaA faw.j(un) sa_alahum. khazanatuhaA _alam. ya_a.tikum. nadhiyr(un)

They will answer, "Yes, a warner did come to us, but we belied him and said, `Allah has not sent down anything: you are in grave error'!"

qaAluwA[0] balaYE qad. jaA~?anaA nadhiyr(un) fakadhdhab.naA waqulnaA maA nazzala Allahu min. shay.?(in) _in. _antum. _illaA fiy DalaEl(in) kabiyr(in)

And they will add, "Had we only listened or understood, we would not now be among the dwellers of the blazing Fire."

waqaAluwA[0] law. kunnaA nasma`u _aw. na`.qilu maA kunnaA fiy~ _aS.HaEbi (a)lssa`iyri

Thus will they confess their own sin. Damned be the dwellers of Hell!

fa(a)`.tarafuwA[0] bidhan[m]bihim. fasuHq(an)A li(a)S.HaEbi (a)lssa`iyri

Those who fear their Lord unseen, for them is forgiveness and a rich reward.

_inna (a)lladhiyna yakh.shawna rabbahum. bi(a)l.ghay.bi lahum. magh.fira(t)(un) wa_aj.r(un) kabiyr(un)

Whether you speak secretly or aloud it is alike for Allah): He even knows the secrets of the hearts.

wa_asirruwA[0] qaw.lakum. _awi (a)j.haruwA[0] bihI~[sly] _innahU `aliym(un)[m] bidhaAti (a)lSSuduwri

Would He not know, who has created? He is the knower of subtleties and is All-Aware.

_alaA ya`.lamu man. khalaqa wa huwa (a)llaTiyfu (a)l.khabiyru

He it is Who has subdued the earth to you. So walk about on its chest and eat of God' provisions. To Him you shall return on Resurrection.

(a)lladhiy khalaqa sab.`a samaEwaEt(in) TibaAq(an)A[sly] maA taraYE fiy khal.qi (a)lrraHmaEni min. tafaEwut(in)[sly] fa(a)r.ji`i (a)l.baSara hal. taraYE min. fuTuwr(in)

Do you feel secure that He Who is in the heaven would not cause you to sink underground, and the earth may start rocking suddenly?

Aamintum. man. fee alssamai an. yakhsifa bikumu alarda faitha hiya tamooru

Do you feel secure that He Who is in the heaven would not send a whirlwind charged with stones on you? Then you shall know how terrible was My warning!

_am. _amin.tum. man. fiy (a)lssamaA~?i _an. yur.sila `alay.kum. HaASib(an)A[sly] fasata`.lamuwna kay.fa nadhiyri

And those who have gone before them also belied. Then see how severe was My chastisement!

walaqad. kadhdhaba (a)lladhiyna min. qab.lihim. fakay.fa kaAna nakiyri

Do they not see the birds above them, spreading their wings and closing them? None is upholding them but the Mercifu1. He it is Who watches over everything.

_awalam. yaraw. ilaYE (a)lTTayri faw.qahum. SaE~ffaEt(in) wayaq.biDna[j] maA yum.sikuhunna _illaA (a)lrraH.maEnu _innahU bikulli shay.?(in)[-m] baSiyr(un)

Tell, what army is there with you that can help you against the Merciful. The fact is that the disbelievers are lost in utter delusion.

_amman. haEdhaA (a)lladhiy huwa jun.d(un) lakum. yan.surukum. min. duwni (a)lrraHmaEni _ini (a)l.kaEfiruwna _illaA fiy ghuruwr(in)

Or tell, who is there to provide for you if the Merciful should withhold His provision? In fact, these people persist in rebellion and aversion from the Truth.

_amman. haEdhaA (a)lladhiy yar.zuqukum. _in. _am.saka riz.qahu bal. lajjuwA[0] fiy `utuww(in) wanufuwr(in)

Just consider. Is he who is walking prone on his face better guided or he who is walking upright on a smooth road?

_afaman. yam.shiy mukibb(an)A `alaYE waj.hihI _ahdaYE~ _amman. yam.shiy sawiyy(an)A `alaYE SiraET(in) mmus.taqiym(in)

Say to them, "Allah it is Who created you, and gave you the faculties of hearing and sight and gave you the hearts to think and understand, but you are seldom grateful."

qul. huwa (a)lladhiy~ _ansha_akum. waja`ala lakumu (a)lssam.`a wa(a)l._ab.SaEra wa(a)l._af.Y_eida(t)a[sly] qaliyl(an)A mmaA tash.kuruwna

Say to them: Allah it is Who has dispersed you in the earth, and to Him you shall be gathered together.

qul. huwa (a)lladhiy dhara_akum. fiy (a)l._ar.Di wa _ilay.hi tuH.shiruwna

They say, "When will this promise be fulfilled if what you say be true?"

wayaquwluwna mataYE haEdhaA (a)l.wa`.du _in. kun.tum. SaEdiqiyna

Say, "The knowledge of it is with Allah, I am only a plain warner."

qul. _innamaA (a)l`il.mu `in.da Allahi wa_innamaA _anaA[0] nadhiyr(un) mmubiyn(un)

Then, when they see it close at hand, the faces of all those who disbelieve, shall be distorted, and at that time it will be said to them, "This is the same that you were calling for."

falammaA ra_aw.hu zulfa(t)an. siy~_at. wujuwhu (a)lladhiyna kafaruwA[0] waqiyla haEdhaA (a)lladhiy kun.tum. bihI tadda`uwna

Say to them, "Have you ever considered that even if Allah should destroy me and those with me, or should bestow mercy upon us, who will save the disbelievers from the painful torment?"

qul. _ara?ay.tum. _in. _ah.lakaniya Allahu waman. ma`iya _aw. raHimanaA faman. yujiyru (a)l.kaEfiriyna min. `adhaAb(in) _aliym(in)

Say to them, "He is the All-Merciful. In Him we have believed and in Him have we put our trust. Soon you will know who is involved in grave error."

qul. huwa (a)lrraHmaEnu ?aAmannaA bihI wa`alay.hi tawakkal.naA[sly] fasata`.lamuwna man. huwa fiy DalaEl(in) mmubiyn(in)

Say to them, "Have you ever considered that if the water of your wells should sink down into the earth, who would then restore to you the running springs of water?"
